M RESORT SPA CASINO EXPANDS BANQUET AND MEETING SPACE
Fine dining restaurant, Veloce Cibo to be converted to catering space
LAS VEGAS - November 14, 2011 - On the heels of announcing construction on the M Pavilion, the M Resort Spa Casino's 25,000 square foot event center, executives at the resort announced today that plans are currently underway to expand its banquet and meeting space to include Veloce Cibo, the 16th floor fine dining restaurant atop the four-star awarded resort. Due to the high demand for versatile function space, the restaurant will close immediately to allow for renovations to begin.
"Over the course of the year we've seen an influx in the desire for additional, unique venues for weddings, private events and catering and conference meeting groups," said Jody L. Lake, Senior Vice President and General Manager of the M Resort. "The entire 16th floor is nothing short of a unique setting with a phenomenal view for meetings and special gatherings. With the interest we've received, we see this new catering space as having a successful future."
With expansive views of the Las Vegas Strip and the mountains the 16th floor function space will offer 7,200 square feet for special events including an outdoor terrace with fireplace. The project is anticipated to take approximately 12 weeks to complete.
The new banquet and meeting space will add to the resort's already versatile portfolio of catering and conference space. Currently, the resort offers 60,000 square feet of meeting space. With the addition of the M Pavilion and the new 16th floor catering space the total meeting and conference space will amount to over 92,000 square feet.
