M Resort Spa Casino Las Vegas News

LAS VEGAS - May 2, 2011 - The M Resort Spa Casino is known for service. At just two years old the boutique, 390-room property located just 10 miles south of the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, has received a number of accolades, most recently the coveted four-star rating from Forbes Travel Guide. So when the property decided several months ago to move its audio-visual operations in-house, it was more than just a cost-savings move, it was a move to improve service for future meeting groups.

"Since we opened in 2009, we've been looking at efficiencies, ways to effectively enhance meeting planning and operations at the M. By taking our audio/visual operations in-house we knew we could deliver an exceptional technological and quality control experience from start to finish," said Drew Varga, Vice President of Sales at the M Resort.

In the past, groups wanting to have an audio/visual component to their meetings worked with third-party vendors approved by the resort. Everything from stage lighting to laser pointers was contracted and brought into the resort, at times adding more dollars to the group's expenses due to time, storage and transport. Now, with the resources and people under one roof, customers are ensured a value, two-tiered, seamless experience from start to finish.

"The main advantage of having our team members run the A/V department is piece of mind for the groups. They know they will get the M level of service; that we will go that extra mile to make sure everything runs smoothly," said William Posey, Director of Audio Visual at the M Resort. "Our team has great pride and accountability in the services we provide to our guests. We know the buck stops with us as it pertains to our guests' satisfaction with the A/V services and it's a reflection of their overall experience at the M."

Recently, the resort hosted more than 300 beverage warehouse, operations and fleet managers for Beverage World magazine's annual Bevops/Beverage Fleet Summit, a global beverage supply chain conference. Working with Beverage World, the M Resort assisted with the set-up of more than 6,000 lumen projectors, multiple stage lights, speakers and television screens and Internet connections throughout the property, among other audio and visual needs.

"The A/V team at the M Resort was present at all activities regardless of the hour and it made a difference. They were not constrained with an hourly rate so in turn our overhead for expense was lower and the service was exceptional. You could tell they were trained professionals and we really appreciated their availability and expert advice," said Erin Fiden, Director of Marketing, Beverage World magazine.

M Resort in-house audio/visual department handles all standard audio/visual equipment, electrical, telecommunication and internet needs. Services range from simple projection setup to large-scale concerts.

The M Resort offers more than 60,000 square feet of dynamic meeting space ranging from multiple meeting rooms that can be divided to suit a variety of needs to a sprawling 17,000 square foot ballroom with built-in stage. Meeting groups can also take advantage of the M Resort's alternative meeting space including restaurants with outdoor terraces and the outdoor piazza with event capacity of up to 5,000.
