We know you wanted another one, right? Here are 10 more off-the-cuff things we think are pretty cool at M Resort that you should know about:

The pastries at Baby Cakes are divine. Have one with your coffee, as an afternoon snack or take a big bag home or to the office. Believe us, they’re gonna love you for it.

We’ve told you a bit about the loft suites and this is definitely one of the coolest features. As if the spectacular view, immaculate room and floor to ceiling windows weren’t enough, the TV above the bed appears magically and tilts to just the right angle for you to watch while sprawled out in that oh so comfy bed.

Above that loft suite? One of the most amazing outdoor spaces in Vegas. The patio outside Veloce’s bar and lounge is something you have to experience. Relax with some sangria and watch the sunset.

The iMagine Rewards Club is cool. The point system is better, the gifts are better, the staff is friendlier, the cards just look niftier….

And while you’re using that card, enjoy some of that natural light in the casino. WHAT?! NATURAL LIGHT IN A CASINO?! Yup.

Been to Terzetto yet? It’s our steakhouse and if you’re looking for a very cool place to dine, try the feature table. “Look mom, no legs!”

When it comes to cool things suspended from the ceiling, head down to Hostile Grape. Those are thousands of slats from wine barrels which came from the Marnell winery in Napa. An artist put them together, numbered them, took them all apart, then reassembled them here at the property.

Don’t know about you, but logoed playing cards are just cool. They scream “Vegas.”

Hopefully you’ve seen it by now, but if you haven’t, you need to check it out. It’s a restaurant, it’s a buffet, it’s a show kitchen/TV studio? Just like you’d find your favorite celeb chef in on TV, there’s a show kitchen inside Studio B with lights, cameras and plenty of cooking action with Martini Time – Vegas’ only live cooking show.

Sports betting at M is something you have to try. Look at the betting stations!

That’s 10! Check them out next time you visit us here at M!

“Can’t we just ask the concierge?” Have you ever heard that question or asked that question yourself while on vacation and staying at a hotel or resort? The answer is “yes” you can ask the concierge. Here at the M Resort, we have a concierge named Nancy Jeskey and she is the best. Seriously, she is one of the best. She’s one of just 450 concierge in the United States to be awarded the Golden Keys of Les Clefs d’Or - more on that later.

She’s the best because she can help you with just about anything, has incredible experience and knows Vegas like you know your own home. And trust us, if you want live camels in front of your room, Nancy is the gal to get it done. We sat down with her to find out what exactly a concierge does and why she likes it so much. Here’s what she had to say:

Q: Tell us what a concierge does.

A: Concierges are here to serve every guest – to help them with anything they need. I say, I’ll do whatever the guests needs as long as it is not illegal, immoral or unkind! In a nutshell, we help guests plan their day, provide information and make arrangements for them.

Q: How did you decide you wanted to be a concierge?

A: I love to travel and I truly love to help people. My husband always got a kick out me because if I saw people looking at a map trying to figure out where to go I’d walk over and help them – tell them how to get to where they were planning to go, suggest places to eat, things like that.

Q: How many years have you been a concierge?

A: 12 years – I entered the concierge profession in 1993 in Indian Wells, California and became a Les Clefs d’Or member in 1998. I was a concierge in California for 10 years and was Palm Springs Life Concierge of the Year in 1996.

Q: So, what’s “Les Clefs d’Or”?

A: Les Clefs d’Or is an international organization of professional hotel concierges. To join, an applicant must have five years experience in the hotel industry and be sponsored by two current members. The application process is so stringent that the organization has just 450 members in the United States.

Q: What kind of training did you have?

A: Your training is really on your knowledge of the city. I am a member of the Southern Nevada Hotel Concierge Association and a past president of the Desert Resorts Concierge Association in the Palm Springs area.

Q: Where did you work prior to coming to the M Resort?

A: I’ve worked at Renaissance in Las Vegas, Esmeralda Renaissance in Palm Springs and the Hyatt Grand Champion. I’ve been with the M Resort since its opening.

Q: What, in your opinion, are the “must-have” characteristics to be a good concierge?

A: Knowledge of the city you live in is key. I’d also say the ability to multi-task, a genuine desire to help others and good ethics and conduct – remember you represent your hotel.

Q: What is the most rewarding part of your job?

A: The people. They are so grateful for your help. I can make them feel at home and comfortable. Guests trust concierges and expect us to know the ins and outs of the city. It’s rewarding when I can help them navigate their way around. This is my most favorite job by far. I hope to be a concierge for many more years.

Q: How do you stay on top of what is happening around the city?

A: I belong to professional associations so we are able to network and share what’s happening in the city with each other. Networking is so important. I read everything I can, experience as much as I possibly and drive around constantly. Las Vegas changes all time so it’s important to network and get out and experience the city. If I’m helping a guest with tickets to see a show at a property on the Strip then I want to be able to tell them exactly where they need to go from the parking lot all the way to the show entrance.

Q: What is a typical day like for you?

A: A typical day is helping people with anything from shopping recommendations, to purchasing tickets for shows to helping them with transportation.

Q: What has been one of the most unique things that a guest has asked you to help with?

A: I had a guest in Palm Springs ask me to get two live camels and stage them in front of his friend’s room as a practical joke. If you can believe it, it only took me 20 minutes to get them rented! It was so much fun.

I also once had a Sultan whose entourage called down and asked me to get him and his entire entourage on a plane to Paris that same day. His entourage took up two entire floors of the property so you can imagine how many of them there were. I called around, spoke to my counterparts in Paris and had them all on a plane within three hours.

Q: What are your favorite places in Vegas?

A: I love the M – it’s a beautiful property and definitely one of my favorites. If guests are looking for places on the Strip to eat I tell them to eat at Joel Robuchon or Fleur de Lys or to see Human Nature. It is one of my most favorite shows. I also really enjoy Le Rêve.

Q: What do you recommend guests at the M do while they’re here?

A: Veloce is an absolute must – it’s romantic and has one of the best views of the city. Spa Mio treatments are another must while they’re here. Hostile Grape is my favorite place – I love the entertainment and the wine, of course! And now that pool season is here, a cabana by the pool is another must-do.

Q: You’ve traveled extensively. Where is your favorite place that you’ve traveled?

A: Traveling has certainly helped me to be a better concierge. Hawaii is my favorite place, but if I could live anywhere I’d live 4four months in Hong Kong, four months in Paris, four months here in Vegas and four months in Hawaii.

Q: How you met any interesting celebrities or helped any interesting people?

A: George Hamilton was one of my favorites and just the nicest person. I also enjoyed helping Pamela Anderson and Frank Sinatra. I knew Frank personally and was there for the christening of his grandkids.

That being said, we thought we’d offer you an insider’s view of some F&B secrets at M:

The property has nearly 30,000 square feet of kitchen and work areas dedicated to the culinary arts.

Want that crusty ciabatta that tastes just like it does in Italy? At the M Resort, you’ll get it. The resort “creates” its own water on-site to make its breads and pastries. The PH balance of the water can be adjusted to match the exact PH balance of water in any city in the world. When it comes to making bread and pastries, the interaction between the water and the other ingredients is critical, creating distinct flavors and textures. New York-style bagels are made with water that matches New York and French baguettes are matched to water in Paris.

Farm fresh is not just a saying at the M Resort. The property offers a reserve list of beef from the Marnell family ranch in Montana in the Terzetto Steak and Seafood restaurant. Much like a reserve wine list, the reserve beef list offers connoisseurs a taste and tenderness that will definitely impress – our guests go through 6,000 pounds a month.

Fresh from the sea? Well not quite, but as close as we can get. A peek inside our main kitchen reveals holding tanks where seafood is kept “still kickin’” as long as possible to offer you the freshest product on your plate.

Charcuterie? That’s the fancy French word for a place you cure and sell meat. Here at M, we cure our own meats such as pastrami, salami and pepperoni. We’re ageing our own cheeses too.

Not only will you find 96 different beers and ciders on tap at 32 Degrees Draft Bar, you’ll even find M’s own cider. Why 32 Degrees? Well, we designed this bar to allow the keg storage to be directly below the taps. Why, you might ask? Less time from keg to tap means much colder beer for you.

You’ll find more than 160 wines by the glass in Hostile Grape, offered up by one of the largest Enomatic® wine dispensing installations in the United States. Several of these wines (six different labels in fact) come from grapes produced at the Marnell family vineyard located in California. We not only serve this wine in our bars and restaurants, but also gave 250,000 bottles of it away to our iMagine Rewards members last year.

Known for their innovation in the gaming industry, and particularly with regard to food and beverage, the Marnell family understands that dining isn’t just about the food. Don’t get us wrong, the food is important and the food at the M Resort is nothing short of outstanding. But dining is about more than what you eat – it’s about the entire experience. Dining out is an experience that surely must be the most popular form of entertainment outside the home that people partake in. And if you’re not entertained when you’re dining, you should find a new restaurant.

At M Resort, the concept of social dining is intimately incorporated throughout. Those terraces overlooking the pool boast a unique south to north view of the Strip and invite people to see and be seen. The terraces tempt conversation and interaction. Private dining spaces and perfect portions of unexpected delights come together to create an unmatched experience for guests. The music is right – the lighting is too. The materials that surround you were chosen with utmost care, just like the ingredients in every dish, cocktail and dessert.

Social dining is a concept meant to offer you the diner, (and in turn the guest we’re meant to entertain), options when it comes to enjoying our restaurants – and we’re not talking just the variety of menu items you’ll find. Are you a table kind of person, someone who likes to be out in the middle of things and don’t mind being seen? Maybe you prefer a nice closed-in booth, allowing you an intimate setting but the ability to see and watch those dining around you. Maybe it isn’t other diners you want to see but people passing by outside the restaurant or lounging out by the pool. Dining at M is something akin attending the opera or a concert – you can be in the front row, sit way in the back, or maybe prefer a box seat overlooking the crowd.

Don’t forget that when you choose to spend your hard-earned money dining out, that in addition to an excellent meal, the entire experience should be pleasing. From the elegant Veloce perched atop the hotel tower to the spectacular Hostile Grape sunk cozily below the spa level and everything in between, we think you’ll find a dining encounter that will certainly please you… gastronomically and socially.

M Resort does indeed have “a room with a view” and it’s called Veloce Cibo. Perched atop the tower, spanning the entire length of the 16th floor, Veloce’s view is not only spectacular, it’s unique. Take a look up and down the Las Vegas Strip and you’ll find property after property staring East or West across the famous boulevard at one of its neighboring competitors, the glare of their marquees proudly invading each other’s hotel rooms. Not here at M – here we’re nestled some 400 feet above the Strip; take an elevator to the significant heights of Veloce and you’re offered a commanding South to North view, those marquees now a twinkling delight for your dining experience.

It’s not just the view that’s going to entice you however. Veloce combines an extensive menu of appetizers, entrees, sushi, sashimi and nigiri, as well as satisfying desserts, and pairs them with a range of hand-crafted cocktails and specialty drinks at Bar Veloce. Maybe the Chilled Oysters to start, then the Grilled Porterhouse with Tuscan Herbs, garlic and artichokes paired with the Yukon Gold Mash? Finish with something sweet, the Bobolini or Coconut Lollipops. Been to Hostile Grape? Tried the Enomatic wine dispensers? You’ll find more in Veloce and your wine card works here too.

But there’s even more to Veloce than the view and the great food. The space itself is something to take notice of. Veloce Cibo translates roughly to “velocity of food.” You’ll find dark woods accented with polished metals, reminiscent of those classic wooden motor boats from makers like Chris Craft, Lyman’s and Century – speed, beauty and class personified. The large terracotta louvers offer a taste of something traditional with a dash of something contemporary.

You won’t find one dining room here. Veloce offers a terrace and bar at one end, which flows into another room with a sushi bar, into another dining room with private booths and open tables, the next room with another bar and on. Your surroundings are such an integral part of the dining experience – Veloce offers choice and variety, though each environment is complimented with that view and yes please, that food.

Still not enough to get you up there? Okay – how about sushi or dim sum for two, just $10 Sun-Thurs? Believe us, this “room with a view” is definitely worth the trip.

Post a comment on our blog telling us what your M Fantasy is (inappropriate content will be removed!) by Friday, February 26 at noon PST and the Social Media Team here at M will select the top three fantasies and post them on the M Resort Spa Casino Fan Page on Facebook where you can vote for your favorite. Perhaps it’s a high-roller night to remember, with limo service from the airport, warm handshakes and cold champagne on arrival, cocktails at M Bar, dinner at Veloce, a spectacular run on the casino floor and a night with someone special in a loft suite.

Are you the shooter at the craps table who throws that perfect pair of dice, everyone wins big and the crowd goes crazy? Maybe it’s putting everything on that one lucky number at the roulette table and watching that ball drop right where it’s supposed to. Flopping a royal flush? Hitting that mega-jackpot on a progressive?

Would you like to get up in front of a live audience in the Studio B kitchen like Chef Tini Martini, with the bright lights and cameras focused on you? Showing off your culinary prowess and sharing the fantastic recipes you’ve been sharing with family and friends for years?

Maybe your M Fantasy is something as simple as dining on a perfectly prepared steak at Terzetto, paired with that cabernet from the Russian River Valley you’ve always wanted to try while sitting out on the terrace – a desert breeze on your face while watching the poolside frolickers.

To say that food is important to the M Resort is an understatement. We have nearly 30,000 square feet of kitchen and culinary work areas dedicated to the culinary arts. We have our own reserve list of Marnell family beef at Terzetto, our steak and seafood restaurant and a bounty of live fish arrive daily and are housed in our ocean of tanks within our main kitchen. In addition to our fresh food, we also have our very own wine created from grapes from the Marnell family vineyard. We even have homemade gelato and artisan breads.

Our love of food though isn’t anything new. If you aren’t familiar, the Marnell family is credited with bringing many unique culinary innovations to the Las Vegas market while owning and operating the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino from 1992 to 2001. Many of the innovations are still widely used today. Below is a sample of some:

First in Las Vegas to host James Beard Out-of-House Events, which included the most recognized American celebrity chefs. It was the catalyst in attracting the late Jean-Louis Palladin, who eventually made the Napa Restaurant his home.
First in Las Vegas to introduce programs that exemplified an unsurpassed dedication to food.
First full seafood buffet in Las Vegas.
First in Las Vegas to sell specialty foods made on premise.
First to establish roof restaurants and lounges in Las Vegas.
First to have a master sommelier on staff in Las Vegas.
First to have own charcuterie on premises in Las Vegas.
First to open the largest wine cellar and tasting to the public.

If you’ve eaten at our restaurants, let us know your favorite meal. If you haven’t eaten here, what are you waiting for?

Here’s a sample of some of our favorite dishes.

Osso Bucco, mushroom risotto & roasted vegetables @ Marinelli’s
Maryland Lump Crab Cakes, mustard remoulade & lemon @ Terzetto
Banana Gelato and Vanilla Bean Gelato @ Baby Cakes
Surf ‘N Turf Roll, spicy tuna, kobe beef, sushi rice, nor seaweed @ Veloce Cibo
Tiramisu, mascarpone cream & coffee lady fingers @ Marinelli’s
Flan @ Baby Cakes
Filet Mignon w/ Bearnaise Sauce @ Terzetto
Tomahawk Ribeye @ Terzetto
Chicken Lettuce Wraps, spiced chicken, peanuts, green onion & water chestnuts @ Veloce Cibo
