A Lavish Treat

At $235 Spa Mio’s New Signature Massage is the crème de la crème of spa treatments. Offering relaxation and rejuvenation from head to toe, this new service is a customized pressure massage with Reflexology and Cranial techniques. It features a signature blend of Balance and Citrus Bliss doTERRA Essential Oils. And since we’re all about luxury, add-on a Warm Oil Scalp Massage to bring this treatment to the next level.

The Suite Life

At 2,400 square feet and with 270º views of the Las Vegas Valley, the Loft Suite is simply breathtaking. The architectural details are exquisite and the drop-down flat screen in the master bedroom is a welcomed added touch. Other cool features include the separate steam shower, freestanding spa tub, etched glass, a modern marble staircase, and the same mirror finished metal featured throughout the resort. It also has two living room areas, a wet bar, and a pop-up big screen and it’ll only cost you $1,500 per night.

Sips Worth Savoring

At $11,000 a bottle and rated at a perfect 100 points, Saint-Émilion, Château Ausone, Grand Cru Classé ‘A’ 2005 is a bottle worth savoring and saving! It is said this wine will no doubt be drinking well a century from now since Château Ausone continues to age after the first 50 years it is bottled. If you’re looking for a wine to truly wow, try the 1982 Château Pétrus, Pomerol at a distinguished $14,900 per bottle. It is a bold and spicy wine, 95 percent Merlot and 5 percent Cabernet Franc. An interesting side note, both the Saint-Émilion and Château Pétrus are from Bordeaux, France and the estates nearly border each other. At these prices, we’d be savoring every sip.

Digital Detox: Unplug and Unwind at M

Do you panic if you leave your phone(s) at home when running a quick errand? Are you always checking emails and text messages no matter where you are or who you're with? Chances are a digital detox is in order. Weaning ourselves off our favorite mobile devices is much harder than it sounds - even if only for a short period of time.

These devices are called "smart phones" for a reason and make many of our daily tasks a breeze with electronic assistance. But, with the need to respond to messages and check websites 24/7, stress levels and productivity are naturally affected. It's important to allow yourself to switch off and enjoy the company of who you're with in the present moment and we're here to help!

Here are a few tips to prepare yourself for a detox, before you leave for vacation:

Push work deadlines back and arrange an extension if you're worried.
Addicted to social media? Schedule tweets and other updates while you're gone using HootSuite or other programs that allow you to do so.
Set your TiVo to record shows so you won't worry about missing any of your favorites.
Depending on the length of your trip, ask someone back home to write you a letter (yes, the old fashion kind with pen and paper). You can open it halfway through your detox to keep you going.
Write a plan for your first day back to ease yourself into the world of communication once again. Make sure no meetings are scheduled which will allow time for jet leg and catching up.
Most importantly, let people know you won't be able to be reached instead of saying, "I'll be replying to urgent messages only."

During your next getaway at M (or anywhere) de-tech yourself by shutting off your mobile phones, tablets and other gadgets once you arrive. If you're really feeling daring, leave them all at home! This will allow you to fully enjoy your technology-free break.

New Year, New Ways to Spa

A New Year brings new beauty trends and all new ways to pamper yourself. It's the perfect time to rejuvenate your body and your soul with the array of new spa trends coming your way for the New Year. Feeling a little stressed? The holiday season can leave us all a bit drained and incorporating one (or a few) of these new spa treatments will do just the trick. We caught up with our spa's manager Kate Wind to see what's new in the spa world for 2012.

The "hot" spa treatments this year will actually be cold! 2011 spa trends brought the heat and 2012 is cooling it down. This year's trends will include a focus on cold treatments veering away from hot treatments, which have been popular in previous years. Cold-themed treatments help reduce inflammation in joints and muscles as well as increase circulation throughout the entire body.

While many treatments will be cooling you down, this year special focus will be placed on your feet. You can never have enough TLC for your tootsies and foot-focused treatments will help to relieve the stress from the bottom up. Think of all the pain your feet feel after a full day in heels, it's their turn to get a little pampering.

It seems like everyone's short on time. Quick spa services are in and we've got just the fix for the time-crunched spa-goer.
