Hollywood has worked side by side with superstars such as DJ AM, Paul Van Dyk, Bob Sinclair, Tiesto, and Grand Master Flash. Aside from performing, he also owns and operates The Beatclan, which represents other top-name DJ’s, celebrities and recording artists. Needless to say, he’s got a hot lineup coming to our pool this season.

We caught up with the celebrity DJ to get the DL on what we can look forward to in terms of poolside entertainment.

What are you most looking forward to with performing at DayDream?
I’ve headlined and directed the biggest day/nightlife venues in the world from Wet Republic to PURE and I can honestly say that DayDream intrigues me the most! The layout and intimate setting enables me to throw down a more eclectic set than I normally would spin. I get to recreate myself every time I’m on the decks. You can’t ask for much more as a DJ.

What’s it like spinning at DayDream compared to other pool venues in Las Vegas?
M Resort draws a more sophisticated crowd than the other pool venues in Vegas. I’m able to be as creative as I’d like to, while veering away from Top 40/dance hits that you’ll likely hear at every other dayclub.

How do you try to approach your sets?
I approach every session differently. My sets are filled with peaks and valleys taking my crowd on a journey that always leaves them wanting more.

What genres or artists influence you the most and what do you listen to on your own time?
I’m an expert in over ten genres, ranging from the 50′s to today’s music and I honestly can’t put a finger on which genre has influenced me and my profession the most. But, in my quiet time, I get lost in contemporary music. Sade, Billy Joel, Matisyahu, to name a few.

Any favorite songs or artists?
For the dance floor: Titanium or David Guetta. In the car, any Frank Sinatra and while I play poker, Sade.

What can we expect this season from you and the other DJs from The Beatclan?
I represent, in my estimation, the best core DJ crew in the city. Expect nothing but the best.

The Beatclan is also producing 98.5 KLUC’s Summer Jam event. Tell us a little about that.
Summer Jam is going to be nuts and there’s no better venue to host it than the M Resort’s pool! The Wanted, Karmin, HardNox, Chris Renee and myself will be performing on June 17. This is truly a can’t-miss event!

We’re starting early by the pool, join us at 10am for the grand opening celebration for Villaggio del Sole, our Main Pool. DayDream Pool Club will also be open at 11am for fiesta-goers with DJ KoKo kicking off his weekly residency. While you’re at either of our pools, be sure to sample one of our new SnoBar products including alcohol infused popsicles and ice creams. We also have a whole line of new frozen cocktail concoctions to cool you off.

If the sun wears you out, take a quick siesta and come party the night away in the M Pavilion. We’ll be drinking, dancing, partying and gaming until the wee hours with a little help from 98.5 KLUC and X107.5. Doors open at 6 pm and authentic Mexican entertainment from the Mexico Vivo Dance Company and musical performers Toto Zara will by kicking off the festivities. Our favorite local lounge duo Zowie Bowie will be continuing the fiesta when they take the stage at 10pm!

Get into the spirit with our cinco drink specials, including our featured drink The M Margarita; made with Durango Gold Tequila, Gionelli Triple Sec, Lefty O’Doul’s Key Lime and Sweet and Sour you won’t want to pass up this concoction. Be sure to come hungry! We’ll be hosting a gathering of South of the Border food trucks featuring Lola D’s Kitchen, Redneck Kitchen and Pop’s Cheesesteaks.

There's no better way to start an 80's party off than with some killer jams. Our very own DJ Darker Daze will be spinning the retro hits out at our main pool and DJ Frank Rempe will be playing his twist on 80's tunes at DayDream Pool Club. That's right; our whole pool deck is getting an 80's takeover (for this Saturday only)!

So, while you're hanging at our pool and rocking out to the 80's hits you're probably going to want a drink to sip on. Are we right? We've already got you covered dude! Our pool bars will be offering shots of M-80 for only $1, $20 buckets of beer and $10 40 oz. Love Potion cocktails (with $8 refills). All great choices to help you get your 80's party on!

Now for the prizes; you're going to want to come in your best 80's gear for your chance to win a complimentary cabana and bottle of SKYY Vodka! The person in the best 80's attire will win this rad prize. We're also holding a drawing for a two-night getaway here at M! Since we love all the readers of our blog, we wanted to give you an exclusive chance to get-in on the getaway! During our big 80's bash, mention the word "Loveshack" at our pool hut to receive a free raffle ticket! The winner will be selected at 6pm, so be sure to stick around (must be present to win).

To think we've only just mentioned what's going on during the day so far! At night we'll have 80's band Loveshack perform. They'll be taking the stage by our pool at 8pm but, you'll want to get there early! From 7-8pm you can get a free Miller Lite beer at our pool bar! After 8pm all Miller beers are 2-for-1! Loveshack will keep our pool party going all night long and we mean pool party, dive in to our pool until 11pm!

After a great party, you'll need to recover! Our spa is getting in on the 80's fun, offering a 50-minute massage for only $80! (regularly $125). Be sure to stop in to Spa Mio when you're here for the party to pick up your voucher. We hope to see you all at our 80's Party this Saturday!

We'll be spending Memorial Day Weekend the only acceptable way - poolside, of course! This Friday-Monday our pools will offer complimentary admission to everyone (yes, really everyone) to get the celebration started off right. Complimentary admission extends to our adult pool DayDream Saturday-Monday as well. Both pools will have DJ entertainment to keep the festivities going all weekend long during the daytime and while you're lounging poolside, we recommend you try a pitcher of our Shinsei Sangria made with Riesling, Vodka, Plum Sake and Fresh Fruit.

If you want to continue your poolside partying (which we're sure you do), join us Saturday night from 8-11pm by our pool for a free concert. If you get there early (from 7-8pm) your first beer is on us! We're also giving you a chance to fulfill your rock star dreams and perform with a live rock band on our stage thanks to Rockstar Karaoke. If the party gets too hot, you can also dive into our pool at night (for free) to cool off.

We appreciate all our military personnel here at M and so just show us your (valid) Military ID and you'll be drinking 2-for-1 drinks all weekend at our pool, including DayDream.

As you may or may not know we love providing our guests with entertainment offerings here at the M Resort. Whether your rocking out to the next big reggae artist at Rock 'n Roll Wine's Tasting Room and Sound Bar event inside Hostile Grape or groovin' to one of the high-energy lounge acts we have at Lobby Bar or Ravello Lounge, there's always something to get your toe-tappin' in our casino.

This past Saturday we launched a new entertainment option for M, 'M Pool Live!' This free ongoing outdoor summer concert series is set in the lovely backdrop of our pool (an ideal venue if you ask us) and gives guests, like yourself, the opportunity to take a dip under the stars and drink, dance, mix and mingle all in our backyard. And did we mention it's FREE? That's right absolutely no cost to anyone who wants to come out and enjoy. We know, it's a sweet deal (you're welcome.)

Performer Wes Quave (who just came off opening for the legendary Prince) kicked-off the series for us this past Saturday night.

His nine-piece band and hot dancers who helped set the mood for the evening.

Guests enjoyed our poolside gaming pit, playing Black Jack all night long.

Specialty cocktails were served; the mojitos were the most popular choice (try the Mint Mojito this Saturday!)

Some guests relaxed around the stage in our lounge chairs while others took a nighttime dip in the water.
