We love all of our guests at M, but those who are card-carrying members of the iMagine Rewards Club hold a special place in our heart (and casino). Whether you’re a table games player or you prefer slots, we have the games to keep you occupied and the rewards to keep you coming back!  We like to reward you when you play with us, which is why joining our club is the key to getting special offers, comps, gifts and other great things at M! Do Summer as a Vegas Local

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

We’re here to bring you the inside scoop on how the natives survive the summer months in Vegas. Our best piece of advice: do summer like the locals do. And, here’s how.

Worship the sun.

Chances are you’re going to find yoursepoolchairsbloglf at a pool while in Vegas (trust us, you’ll want to cool off). Whether you like things on a grand scale, (100,000 square feet grand enough for you?) or something a little more intimate, our very own Villaggio Del Sole and DayDream Pool Club are perfect for any pool patron. At either pool, grab a cabana, maybe a bottle or two (they start at only $65!) and enjoy the day lounging on a cushy chaise lounge chair with drink-in-hand. You can find more of our tips just for the pool, here.

Get happy during Happy Hour.

There’s no reason for you not be VeloceDrinkshappy while you’re at M since we offer Happy Hour 24/7. We know it seems too good to be true but if you go to any of our inside bars cocktails are just $5 and bottled beers $3. To sweeten the deal, our restaurants offer their own happy hour deals on food. A whole sushi platter for just $10 at our rooftop restaurant Veloce, half priced appetizers from Anthony’s Steakhouse, or even a hot dog and beer special from 32 Degree Draft Bar.

Play your cards like a true shark.TableGames1blog

There’s nothing wrong with playing the tables in the casino. But, each weekend our pool deck is populated with a great crowd. A crowd that includes a bevy of beautiful poolside black jack dealers ready to deal your next hand. So go out, get some fresh air and place your bets under the sun while taking in the great atmosphere of bikini-clad pool dwellers.

Leave time for relaxation.

Any well-versed Vegas traveler knows to leave roSpaTherapyPoolsblogom for a little R&R. What the locals know is to spend their R&R time at Spa Mio. Take advantage of their world-class massages, facials and other soothing treatments and also the amazing specials they offer (to everyone not just locals).

Join the Club.

Ever wonder how locals get comps imaginerewardsblog(the Vegas term for “free”) to our award-winning Studio B Buffet? We’ll let you in on a little secret, it’s because they’re a member of our iMagine Rewards Club! Join our rewards club so you too can earn great comps, prizes and even cash back.

When it comes to casino properties (and especially “locals” properties), there’s no shortage of competition here in Vegas. Here at M Resort, we do our best to be a standout among all those choices you have. With that in mind, we decided to put together a program that offers our guests age 50 plus with a variety of discounts and offers throughout the property, available every Wednesday beginning tomorrow, February 16. We simply call it our “50 Plus Club,” and here are the benefits:

50plus-Club-FlierGaming: 50 cash and dining prize winners selected each Wednesday at 4 pm with a $1,000 top prize available.*

Dining: Buy-one, get-one free buffet at the award-winning Studio B Buffet every Wednesday with a 50% discount for single diners.

Free pastry with purchase of a Medium coffee at Baby Cakes every Wednesday.

Buy-one, get-one free lunch entrée at Hash House A Go Go every Wednesday from 1-5 pm.**

Salon: 30% discount on salon services at Spa Mio every Wednesday.

Entertainment: Special performance by classic crooner Mark O’Toole from 2:30-5:30 pm in Ravello Lounge every Wednesday.

So what’s the catch? Well, there isn’t any other than you have to be an iMagine Rewards member (which of course is free) and you have to be age 50 or more. No need to sign-up for a new card either – if you already have an iMagine Rewards card, you’re good to go.

*Earn entries through new iMagine Rewards Member sign-up and on every 100 same day base points earned. Visit iMagine Rewards Club for complete rules and details.
**Free item must be of equal or lesser value of item purchased. Must purchase two beverages.

Management reserves the right to alter or cancel this promotion at any time. Visit M Resort for complete details.

New Year, New Slots

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011

Slotsblog1If you’re a regular reader of the M Point of View, you may remember posts like “The Full Ethernet Floor” and “Your Favorite Games.” We’re talking slots which as you know are a big part of the casino floor here at M Resort. With about 1,900 slots here, you have plenty to choose from, including popular classics as well as the latest new games on the market. With it being a new year, we thought we’d talk about some of the latest trends in slots you’ll see in 2011 (and are already seeing).

Slotsblog3One thing you’re bound to see more of this year are slots with community bonuses. While they were introduced a while back, these types of slots have continued to grow in popularity. And why not? When one person wins, everybody wins!

You’ll also be finding more great popular culture themed games hitting casino floors. These games aren’t just restricted to a single time period either. Tarzan, Dirty Dancing, The Dark Knight, The Hangover, The Godfather and many more are on the way. Movies not your thing? Television is represented too with games based on popular shows like American Idol and a new Deal or No Deal themed slot.

Slotsblog2Perhaps the most significant trend for 2011 you’ll see however, is the expansion of interactive games which offer direct player input. Generally taking the form of bonus games, these slots ask players for more than simply selecting an item on a touch screen. Look for bonuses including mini-games where your skill and direct input have a bearing on the outcome. From spinning a virtual wheel and using pinball-like flipper action buttons, to fending off alien invaders and more, these slots will definitely make you a part of the action.

It’s not just the great new games and technology you’ll find on our casino floor that make M a great place to play slots, however. Natural light on the casino floor, 96 beers on tap just waiting for slot players to order, and let’s not forget an amazing player’s club with tons of free gifts and great comps are all things that make M a delight for players. There’s always something extra you get here at M too – great service. As a Forbes Four-Star property, you know the staff here is going to be top-notch. From our award winning M Girl cocktail waitresses to the technicians keeping those machines up and running, our Team Members are a big part of what will surely make your time gaming a pleasure.

It never hurts to ask…

Tuesday, January 11th, 2011

CasinoFloortablesblog1…And when it comes to table games players here at M Resort, that statement holds true. Why? Because we’ve always taken the attitude that this should be a gamblers place to game. Now that statement may seem a bit odd. Of course it’s a gamblers place to game – it’s a casino! But if you’ve gambled in Vegas at an assortment of properties, you may have noticed that some places seem to understand and appreciate their players and in turn, provide them with service that reflects this appreciation and then there are the places that don’t. It seems simple, doesn’t it? Why on earth would a casino not cater to their players?

For many people, the things that we do at our tables aren’t that obvious. For players who play a lot of table games and do so frequently however, the differences are easier to spot. Looking for a $5 game? We’ve got one. All the time. On a winning streak? Don’t worry, you won’t see a deliberate shuffle or dealer change. In the middle of a hand? Our cocktail waitresses know it and won’t ask you if you’d like anything until they know you’re ready. Want to touch the cards at the baccarat table? We charge $25 instead of the usual $100 you’ll find in Vegas. Looking to raise the limit in our High Limit Salon? $10,000? Okay. Want to play in the High Limit Salon but not looking to drop thousands? You can play for as little as $50 and you’ll find a single-zero roulette wheel in there too.

CasinoFloortablesblog2The list goes on and on. But back to that title – it never hurts to ask. When it comes to table games here at M (or just about anything for that matter), this holds true. Our players ask for new games and we get them, like the Crazy Four Poker we just added. Want an iMagine Rewards card but don’t want to wait in line? Just ask – we’ll make you one right in the pit. When you are ready for that cocktail, ask for what you really want – if we’ve got it or can make it, it’s yours.  Hungry? Let us see what we can do.

We’re not here to tell you we’re going to give every player anything and everything their heart desires, but we are here to tell you that at M Resort we’re here to help. If you have a reasonable request, it would be our pleasure to try and make it happen.

Ten Off the Cuff Vol. III

Thursday, November 4th, 2010

We know you were waiting!!! Here are 10 more off-the-cuff things we think are pretty cool at M Resort that you should know about:

TerzettopatioblogIf you haven’t dined outside on the Terzetto patio, it’s a must. The view is great and the infinity pools are definitely cool. They also make a perfect aisle if you’re looking for a unique spot to get married.

ObeliskblogThe obelisk out by the porte cochere is something you should take a gander at. It’s made of bronze and kind of resembles a gun sight. If you follow its line, it travels through the lobby, out over the pool, across the main stage and out to the famous Las Vegas strip.

MainstageblogAnd how about that main stage? An amazing view for guests and performers alike.

BallroomblogOkay, okay, maybe it’s just a ballroom, but it’s a HUGE ballroom and you might not have even known it was here tucked away on the spa level. Reception after Terzetto patio ceremony? Yep.

FitnessCenterviewblog

There’s no better motivation to get fit than gazing out over our spectacular pool. Our fitness center offers a view for aesthetics and to help you keep going.

HashHousetractorblog

Antique tractor in a casino? Cool.

CeilingTilesblogYou may not have known what you were looking at, but the tiles covering the columns and ceiling on the casino floor are mother of pearl.

GlassElevatorblogMaybe you’ve never used it or even seen it, but there’s a sweet glass elevator between the Lobby Bar and Oyster Bar – it travels down to the spa level and then further down to Hostile Grape.

Mgastationblog

That’s right, M Resort has a gas station and you can use your iMagine Rewards points there. Nice.

VigTripleCrownblog

Can’t remember all the Triple Crown Winners? Who took the World Series in 1966? The walls at Vig Deli are covered in sports factoids to peak your interest or settle the debate.

Another 10! Check ‘em out next time you visit us here at M!

“The Frontlines” Charity Gift Day

Thursday, October 7th, 2010

The social media team decided that you might like to get an insider’s look at some “frontline” jobs here at M Resort. Every department here at at the property has frontline team members directly interacting with guests, more than 1,300 team members in total hold these positions. Behind the scenes or on the frontline, we’re all responsible for providing the utmost in guest satisfaction and work hard at it every day. As the social media team, we’re jumping in and experiencing some of these jobs not only to find out for ourselves how things work, but also to give you a look too.

We recently worked the frontlines in our Casino Marketing department during one of our gift days. From setting up the gift day satellite computers to unloading and actually distributing the t-shirts to our guests – we did it all!

Here’s a look at us working the Sept. 15 gift day benefitting Susan G. Komen. As we mentioned in an earlier post, every Wednesday this past September was a charity gift day. For each gift coupon redeemed and/or earned through play, M Resort donated $1 to Shade Tree, Hope Link, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Children’s Heart Foundation and the American Red Cross .

Gift Days for Charity

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

kv_komen_logoIf you’re a player at M Resort you’ll know that our gift days are pretty popular. We give away everything from wine and desserts to apparel and bags and more. This month, those free gifts are also helping out some charities and in turn, those in need.

We’ve partnered with Shade Tree, Hope Link, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Children’s Heart Foundation and the American Red Cross in September to help provide them with some extra cash in support of their worthy causes. Every Wednesday in September is a Charity Gift Day and for every gift day coupon redeemed or gift earned through play, M Resort donates a dollar to that day’s sponsored charity up to $4,000.

Tomorrow, Wednesday September 15 will be in support of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Since their inception in 1982, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer – transforming how the world talks about and treats the disease and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.

M Resort is proud to partner with Susan G Komen for the Cure Southern Nevada Chapter for our Charity Gift Days promotion tomorrow and we hope you’ll join us in supporting this worthy cause as well as the other amazing charities we’ve partnered with this month. The Gift Distribution is held at the iMagine Rewards Center located next to the Vice Shop from 9am – 9pm.

Ten Off the Cuff Vol. II

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

We know you wanted another one, right? Here are 10 more off-the-cuff things we think are pretty cool at M Resort that you should know about:

The pastries at Baby Cakes are divine. Have one with your coffee, as an afternoon snack or take a big bag home or to the office. Believe us, they’re gonna love you for it.

We’ve told you a bit about the loft suites and this is definitely one of the coolest features. As if the spectacular view, immaculate room and floor-to-ceiling windows weren’t enough, the TV above the bed appears magically and tilts to just the right angle for you to watch while sprawled out in that oh-so-comfy bed.

VelocePatioblogAbove that loft suite? One of the most amazing outdoor spaces in Vegas. The patio outside Veloce’s bar and lounge is something you have to experience. Relax with some sangria and watch the sunset.

imaginerewardsblogThe iMagine Rewards Club is cool. The point system is better, the gifts are better, the staff is friendlier, the cards just look niftier….

naturallightblog

And while you’re using that card, enjoy some of that natural light in the casino. WHAT?! NATURAL LIGHT IN A CASINO?! Yup.

TerzettoTableblogBeen to Terzetto yet? It’s our steakhouse and if you’re looking for a very cool place to dine, try the feature table. “Look mom, no legs!”

HGceilingblog

When it comes to cool things suspended from the ceiling, head down to Hostile Grape. Those are thousands of slats from wine barrels which came from the Marnell winery in Napa. An artist put them together, numbered them, took them all apart, then reassembled them here at the property.

cardsblogDon’t know about you, but logoed playing cards are just cool. They scream “Vegas.”

StudioKitchenblogHopefully you’ve seen it by now, but if you haven’t, you need to check it out. It’s a restaurant, it’s a buffet, it’s a show kitchen/TV studio? Just like you’d find your favorite celeb chef in on TV, there’s a show kitchen inside Studio B with lights, cameras and plenty of cooking action with Martini Time – Vegas’ only live cooking show.

bettingstationblogSports betting at M is something you have to try. Look at the betting stations!

That’s 10! Check them out next time you visit us here at M!
