Summer Jam, KLUC’s all day summer music festival is coming to M’s pool deck this Sunday. Get ready for an amazing pool party featuring some of today’s hottest music acts! The Wanted will be taking the stage on our pool piazza along with Karmin, Chris Rene, HardNox, Lex Rox and DJ Hollywood. Summer Jam is known for having some of the biggest up and coming names in the music industry. Past performers include Jesse McCartney and Soulja Boy.

Headlining the show this year is British pop group, The Wanted. The boy band is best known for their smash hit, “Glad You Came,” and has been working their way up the charts in the U.S. ever since its release. The five member band; Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes have been under the guidance of Scooter Braun, Justin Beiber’s mastermind manager. The group has appeared on NBC’s The Voice and their song “Glad You Came” was featured on FOX’s hit show Glee.

Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan make up the musical duo known as Karmin. The group gained fame by releasing amazing covers of songs by Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown on YouTube. Their rising internet popularity inspired them to release the singles, “Crash Your Party” and “Broken Hearted”. The duo’s “Look at Me Now” YouTube video, a cover of the popular song by Chris Brown, has received more than 36 million views. Their song “Take It Away” was used in promos for the 2011 NBA Finals.

Singer-songwriter Chris Rene, former contestant on The X Factor, will be belting out his original compositions such as “Young Homie”. Hometown favorites Dan and Jim Kehoe, better known as HardNox will be performing alongside Vegas native, Lex Rox. Voted Las Vegas DJ of the Year over nine times, DJ Hollywood, along with The Beatclan DJs will be performing throughout the day. Come ready to swim, doors open at noon!

Lynyrd Skynyrd Rocks M

Rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd performed to a full-house this weekend at M! Our pool deck was packed with about 4,500 Skynyrd fans as they played their biggest hits including "Sweet Home Alabama," "Freebird" and songs from their new album God & Guns. This southern rock group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2006. The band rocked out poolside for an hour and a half at our resort and lived up to their legendary rock name by putting on an unforgettable performance.

As most Lynyrd Skynyrd fans know, the band was struck with great tragedy in 1977 when three of the band's members were killed in a plane crash. The band reformed ten years later after a hiatus and has been touring ever since. Johnny Van Zant, brother of founding band member Ronnie Van Zant performed the lead vocals for the band with Gary Rossington on guitar who is the only original member of the band to date.

Were going out with a bang this summer! And to help us do so we're having rock legends, Lynyrd Skynyrd perform on our pool deck here at the M on Friday, September 16! The concert's a little more than a month away but we're already getting excited for their appearance. We figured since we're so excited you might be too, which is why we’re giving our readers a chance to win tickets to see them perform! We're even having a full fireworks show (to really give us our bang) after the concert. So trust us, you're not going to want to miss out on this!

Alan Jackson in Concert

On Saturday, we held our second concert event of the season, with a performance by multi-platinum recording artist and country music superstar, Alan Jackson. After more than a week of scorching temperatures, the heat subsided and Alan Jackson fans enjoyed a perfect summer night and awesome entertainment under the stars at the M's outdoor events piazza.
