So what’s the appeal of petite pastries? Any dish twice as small as its original somehow becomes twice as irresistible. The bite-sizes allow you to indulge and sample many different treats without the temptation of devouring an entire cake or pie.  Some of our most popular small sweets include classics like tiramisu, éclairs and good old fashioned cheesecake.

Our bakery team has mastered the art of scaling down full-size recipes into the smaller portions that our guests love. The recipes don’t have to be altered much, just the portioning of the actual treat. The real task is in the décor, the decorations on each pretty pastry are smaller and more intricate than its full-sized counterparts.

These guilt-free indulgences aren’t just good for your diet; they’re also good for your wallet. Miniature pastries at Baby Cakes go for about $2, a small price to pay for desserts whipped up by a gourmet pastry chef. At Studio B, all the sweet treats you can devour are included in the price of your meal.

Our resort likes its Italian flare, whether it’s the design of the property or the food we serve. You can get your dolce (Italian for dessert) fix from our very own Italian restaurant Marinelli’s. They serve up classics from “the old country” like Tiramisu, Cannolis, Bombolinis, Panna Cotta and more. At our steakhouse Anthony’s, you can find some of the newest dessert options at M. Try their signature Peanut Butter Pie, Chocolate Soufflé or maybe their spin on Coffee & Donuts will be the perfect ending to your meal.

For desserts with a twist, try Hash House A Go Go’s Chocolate Snickers Bread Pudding. This take on a modern candy bar is homemade bread pudding baked with chunks of Snickers candy bars and Hershey’s chocolate syrup and topped with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, homemade caramel sauce and chocolate syrup.

If you find it hard to choose just one dessert (and we always do) Veloce offers a dessert tasting. You can select from one, two or even three delectable desserts to try at once! The restaurant offers choices like a Mini Strawberry Martini (not the kind you drink), Bananas Foster and Chocolate Torte.

At Studio B Buffet, not only can you sample cuisine from around the world, you can get a sampling of desserts from around our property! Try miniature samplings of crème brûlée, cookies, cupcakes, meringue, gelato, macaroons and much more. And remember, they’re all you can eat!

Sometimes you like something so much you want to take it home with you. At Baby Cakes, M’s very own European-inspired patisserie you can find a whole case of sugary sweetness to please any craving. They also offer a full gelato station with 19 flavors by the scoop (they can even be bought by the pint).

So you indulged at our buffet and maybe had a cupcake (or two) from our bakery and washed it all down with one of our 96 beers on tap.  There’s nothing wrong with this (we’re all about indulging), but even during your getaway in Vegas you’ll want to stay in shape with places like DayDream Pool Club to hang out at.  We know it’s hard to make it to the gym, especially when you’re traveling, so we’re here to offer you a few travel-friendly fitness tips that you can practice here at M or wherever you might be traveling.

Take the stairs. We know elevators are much more convenient, but think of the burn you’ll feel after walking from our casino level to our pool and spa level, or even all the way down to our wine cellar, Hostile Grape. Your lungs will thank you and you’ll thank yourself when you look at your killer legs.

Bring your running shoes. Why not add a little motion in your day? Lace up your sneakers and take a tour inside and outside our resort. We’re situated on more than 90 acres and with an expansive 100,000 square foot pool deck, you’ll have lots of time to get your fresh air fix, plus we have lots of great art to gaze at while walking around  indoors.

Stay hydrated. It’s a desert out there (no really, it is). Be sure to drink lots of water, it will help keep your body going and increase your metabolism so you burn more calories than normal, and it also helps maintain your muscle tone.

Bring your yoga mat. Starting or ending your day with yoga does the body good. And, rolling up your yoga mat and packing it for your trip takes a minimal amount of time and space. You can even practice your yoga moves in the privacy of your own hotel room.

If you’re more of a gym person, we also have a world-class fitness center available for your use; did we mention it has a pool view?

Cupcakes: the delectable little desserts that we just can’t get enough of. They’ve taken the pastry world and the reality TV world by storm and now they’ve taken over here at the M! Cupcake connoisseurs can find our new signature line of the tasty treats at Baby Cakes, our European-inspired patisserie. Introduced just last week, there are nine mouthwatering cupcake flavors waiting for you to sink your sweet tooth into.

Our very own pastry chef Jean Claude Canestrier developed all the flavors of the cupcake confections. We visited Jean Claude to get the dish on the tasty treats.

Cupcake production has taken off running with our bakery churning out more than ten dozen cupcakes daily. Jean Claude’s recipe for success lies in the details. Each crafted cake went through a taste test by the entire bakery team before the final flavors were chosen and the delicate chocolate toppers you see on some of the little cakes are handmade and individually painted.

The cupcakes that made the cut:

• Orange Chocolate – Diced candied orange, ganache and milk chocolate mousse
• Banana Caramel – Banana, caramel filling and banana frosting
• Double Chocolate – Ganache filling and milk chocolate mousse
• Red Velvet – Red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting
• Chocolate Peanut Butter – Chocolate cupcake with peanut butter filling and peanut butter icing
• Coconut Pineapple – White coconut cake with pineapple filling, an apricot glaze and coconut frosting
• Carrot Pineapple – Carrot cake with pineapple filling and cream cheese icing
• White and White – Classic white cake and white icing never tasted so good
• Lemon Raspberry – Lemon cake with raspberry filing and Chantilly cream icing 

What’s Jean Claude’s favorite you might ask? Since he created all the cupcakes he insists that he can’t choose – each one is magnifique! But, the Chocolate Orange is his specialty. 

Since they’re just as much a treat for the eyes that they are for the mouth, check out the master chef at work, decorating a dozen Red Velvet cupcakes, our most popular flavor.

Ravello Lounge isn’t just a great place to see live entertainment – it’s also home to some pretty amazing technology. Not only are there more than 40 screens built into the walls that can showcase the onstage entertainment, but the large panels next to the screens can be programmed to visually match audio beats and more through visual representation.

Spring will be sprung in the not too distant future and you know what that means?! Wedding season. If you’re looking for a spectacular custom cake creation for your special day or other special occasion, we can make just about anything you can dream up.

And speaking of cake, let’s talk Baby Cakes. These are some of the custom tiles you’ll find here inspired by European patisseries. It’s the details that make all the difference, not to mention some unbelievably good pastries!

With warmer weather on the way, it’s almost time to start enjoying dining al fresco. Veloce, Marinelli’s, Terzetto and Hash House all feature great outdoor terraces where you can enjoy your meal, the weather and spectacular views of the pool area and Strip.

Hmmm, what to enjoy out on the terrace? How about some of the amazing cocktails Veloce is offering for Happy Hour in their bar & lounge? Red Sangria, Peach White Sangria and Rocks Margaritas with a superb selection of top-shelf tequilas for just $5 are all excellent choices.

Back to those details. When we have meeting/conference groups here with us at M, we do our utmost to show them we appreciate their choosing M Resort. From custom welcome messages on our marquee to these super-cool light-logos displayed in the water features behind check-in, we want you to feel welcome and appreciated.

The pastries at Baby Cakes are divine. Have one with your coffee, as an afternoon snack or take a big bag home or to the office. Believe us, they’re gonna love you for it.

We’ve told you a bit about the loft suites and this is definitely one of the coolest features. As if the spectacular view, immaculate room and floor-to-ceiling windows weren’t enough, the TV above the bed appears magically and tilts to just the right angle for you to watch while sprawled out in that oh-so-comfy bed.

Above that loft suite? One of the most amazing outdoor spaces in Vegas. The patio outside Veloce’s bar and lounge is something you have to experience. Relax with some sangria and watch the sunset.

The iMagine Rewards Club is cool. The point system is better, the gifts are better, the staff is friendlier, the cards just look niftier….

And while you’re using that card, enjoy some of that natural light in the casino. WHAT?! NATURAL LIGHT IN A CASINO?! Yup.

Been to Terzetto yet? It’s our steakhouse and if you’re looking for a very cool place to dine, try the feature table. “Look mom, no legs!”

When it comes to cool things suspended from the ceiling, head down to Hostile Grape. Those are thousands of slats from wine barrels which came from the Marnell winery in Napa. An artist put them together, numbered them, took them all apart, then reassembled them here at the property.

Don’t know about you, but logoed playing cards are just cool. They scream “Vegas.”

Hopefully you’ve seen it by now, but if you haven’t, you need to check it out. It’s a restaurant, it’s a buffet, it’s a show kitchen/TV studio? Just like you’d find your favorite celeb chef in on TV, there’s a show kitchen inside Studio B with lights, cameras and plenty of cooking action with Martini Time – Vegas’ only live cooking show.

Veils and Vino is the ultimate in everything bridal, from invitations and catering to décor and fashion. Designed to be an intimate event and to provide brides-to-be with one-on-one attention, Veils and Vino will feature approximately 20 wedding industry vendors that are a must-see for any bride planning her big day.

The intimate bridal affair begins with a cocktail reception sponsored by Möet champagne and culminates in a spectacular fashion show featuring the latest bridal gowns and wedding attire. Veils and Vino takes place inside our expansive conference space, which affords brides-to-be the opportunity to visualize our wedding facilities, which include multiple meeting rooms, a spacious ballroom and outdoor terraces. First let’s get him ready for his big day so take him down to Spa Mio. He may resist at first, but you can assure him spas are for guys too. It’s time for dad’s special Father’s Day meal and there’s no better place than Terzetto. It’s home to hand-selected prime cuts of beef, including a reserve list from the Marnell family ranch in Montana. Dine on the terrace and watch the sun set with a spectacular view of the Strip and valley.

Gelato means “frozen” in Italian and despite what many people may think or say, gelato has nothing to do with gelatin. And while gelato is similar to ice cream, you’ll notice some differences when you’re lucky enough to enjoy a taste. Gelato is creamier than ice cream, which is interesting since gelato actually has less cream in it than ice cream. How then, could it possibly be creamier? It has to do with the way in which gelato is made. Gelato is churned at a slower speed than ice cream, resulting in a much denser product because not as much air is whipped into the mixture. (Gelato contains about 25 to 30 percent air, while ice cream can contain as much as 50 percent air which is also known as “overrun.”) 

In addition to getting more deliciousness and less air for your buck, gelato is usually stored and served at a slightly warmer temperature than ice cream. Since gelato is not quite completely frozen, you get a singular texture that coats your mouth differently also resulting in that extra creaminess. The really good news? Since there’s less cream in gelato there’s also less fat. Getting a creamier more delectable frozen (well, almost frozen) treat that also has less fat is probably one of the greatest things we’ve ever heard.

But let’s get down to business. Here at M Resort we make our gelato fresh every day. Several times a day in fact depending on your appetite! We make approximately 1,500 gallons of gelato every month, which means 700 gallons of milk, 400 gallons of cream, 100 gallons of egg yolk and 1,200 pounds of sugar! Flavors? Lots. There’s of course the traditional chocolate, vanilla and strawberry which are the most popular, but come on folks! There’s a quote that’s attributed to a lot of different people (Former President Jimmy Carter, Will Rodgers, Mark Twain, etc.) that goes something like, “Why not go out on a limb? That’s where all the fruit is.” And when it comes to gelato at M, well it’s not just fruit, but nuts, cookies and even booze! There are 18 different flavors of gelato for you to try and with the summer heat on the way, there’s no better time to come down and get started.
