As we’ve mentioned before, it’s ‘all about the menu’ at our restaurants and we’ve got a whole new one to share with you. Think big juicy steaks and seafood platters on ice. Do we have your attention yet? If not, just take a look at these photos and try not to drool on your keyboard.

When one door closes, another one opens. Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood Restaurant will make its official debut this Friday, in place of Terzetto, and just in time for Father’s Day (hint, hint). The kitchen will be churning out prime wet-aged steaks, king crab legs and many more of our President Anthony A. Marnell III’s personal favorites. Our personal favorite is the Peanut Butter Pie, so be sure to save some room for dessert.

The restaurant’s elegant, yet casual, dining space will offer the perfect atmosphere to wine and dine Dad, or anyone else worthy of a mouth-watering meal. In fact, here’s a little fun fact if your dad is a baseball fan: the restaurant’s design was inspired by Anthony’s own worn baseball. You’ll see touches of warm gold and beige along with masculine elements of mahogany wood and marble throughout the restaurant.
The extensive menu even includes selections from the Marnell’s own private wine label. So grab a seat in a plush banquette or a table on the terrace with a striking view of our expansive pool deck, order a filet mignon and pair it with a nice Cabernet Franc from the Marinelli’s label.

Tuesday, December 21, 2010 is a day unlike any other we’ll see in our lifetime because two astronomical events conspired to occur together – the winter solstice and a total lunar eclipse. You may recall from our earlier blog post back in June “
Well, solstices certainly aren’t a rarity since we have two every year – winter and summer. But last night, we also experienced a total lunar eclipse. There are at least two lunar eclipses each year, though they’re usually partial. The total lunar eclipse is a much less common event. What’s a lunar eclipse? Well, it’s when the shadow of the earth “covers” the moon. This can only happen when the sun, earth and moon are perfectly aligned or nearly so with the earth in the middle. Unlike a solar eclipse which can only be viewed in a relatively small area of the world, a lunar eclipse can be viewed from anywhere on the “nightside” of earth. Now while our little planet isn’t able to make the moon disappear in its shadow, the effect can still be quite dramatic, as the moon often turns a lovely shade of copper as it did last night.
