“We want to give our guests and locals a different option than what’s available on the Strip,” said Joe Bravo, our Director of Pool and Nightlife Operations. “We’ve done night swims in the past that have been very successful – after all, locals don’t want to fight traffic or crowds. At our night swims, they can relax, swim and enjoy a drink or two while getting the four-star service we’re known for.”

The first night swim kicks off tomorrow with an out-of-this-world beverage favorite – Alien Tequila. The first 50 guests to arrive receive a complimentary souvenir bottle of Alien Tequila and there’s an open vodka bar for ladies from 8-9 pm sponsored by Bud Light and Ultimat Vodka.

With more than 12,000 square feet of space, you have plenty of room to dance under the moon to the music of the Beatclan DJs. If you can’t make it to tomorrow’s night swim, don’t worry. Our next night swim, Mid-Summer’s Night Masquerade Pool Party, promises to be just as dreamy as the name intends. Scheduled for July anyone in costume gets free admission. There will also be an open vodka bar for ladies for the first hour and prizes for the sexiest costumes.

Let’s face it, there a number of pool venues where you can have a good time, but at many of those places, your good time lasts one time and it costs you a small fortune between the cabana, bottle service, and extras like the candy party pack afternoon snack. At our pools, particularly at our age 21+ dayclub, DayDream, you won’t find astronomical prices. Instead, you’ll find affordable prices for the cabana, bottle service and even food. Our goal isn’t to get you to visit us one time it’s to make DayDream your pool throughout the season.

What’s pool season without a few parties and with our spectacular venue we’d be remiss if we didn’t host a few parties throughout the season. You can expect night swims, industry days and sponsored parties at DayDream throughout the season with top DJs like DJ Hollywood, Koko and Truelove delivering all the music you love. In fact, our first party kicks off May 4 & 5 as we celebrate Cinco de Mayo.

It’s August in Vegas and we’ve got some fresh ways to enjoy the summer and beat the heat– from cool pools, to cool brews and even soothing spa services.

Since the weather’s great most of the year in Las Vegas, you can take advantage of the pool scene until October so taking a dip in a spectacular pool should definitely be on the stay cool list!

The M Pool is known for its spacious deck and upscale amenities. Daybeds provide a front row view that’s perfect for people-watching and offers a convenient way to take a dip.  VIP cabanas are equipped with a personal Jacuzzi (that can fit up to four of your friends), flat screen television, ceiling fan and a refrigerator to keep all your favorite libations cold. For an alternative to cabanas and daybeds, take up residence in one of the water chairs that are placed directly in the pool to get the best of both worlds.  But you need to be quick, water chairs are issued on a first-come, first-served basis!

DayDream Pool Club at M Resort is another pool alterative that’s open exclusively for adults 21 and over every Saturday, Sunday and Monday and provides its own brand of poolside fun.  The party gets into full gear with a list of celebrity DJ’s setting the scene for mixing and mingling and enjoying frosty libations around the ice-railed bar or hand-delivered to you by one of the friendly servers.

There are plenty of ways to cool off indoors too.  Pamper your summer skin with a Tropical Fruit Polish Massage just steps away from the pool inside Spa Mio.  There’s a reason this spa is one of only 105 in the world to be awarded with the Four Star award:  Impeccable service and amenities are a mainstay at this must-try spa.  The one-of-a-kind Tropical Fruit Polish offers a saltmousse exfoliation treatment and incorporates papaya-pineapple or mango passion fruit to soothe and brighten your skin.

If getting out of the sun means catching the biggest sports games, then 32° Beer Bar is your ticket.  Not only can you catch all the sports action on too many screens to count, but you can have your pick of over 90 select and craft beers on tap at the coldest temperature in town.  Classic lagers, ales and even stouts are on the lengthy menu for both the discerning beer authority or if you just want to order your favorite cold one.  Either way, staying cool in the dessert could be easier and a lot more fun than you ever thought!

1. A day at the pool. Our Main Pool is open seven days a week but this Wednesday, DayDream Pool Club will be open for a special Fourth of July celebration. Grab a swimsuit and some sunscreen (it’s going to be a hot one) and spend the day poolside in our backyard paradise. We’ve got cocktails to cool you off and the hottest DJs to keep the party going.

2. An all-American meal. What’s more American than a buffet? From macaroni and cheese to prime rib and everything in between, you can feast on all your continental favorites at Studio B. Be sure to save room for dessert, you won’t want to miss Studio B’s apple pie, with a scoop of vanilla gelato for a perfect sweet treat on the Fourth.

3. Test your luck at the tables. Our poker room started its Fourth of July celebrations early with its Red, White & Blue Giveaway promotion. Win your share of $25,000 by earning red, white and blue tickets while playing at our tables. Drawings take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday but tickets can be earned daily!

4. Put on your own personal fireworks show. You can purchase fireworks from over 390 different stands across Southern Nevada until 11:59 pm on July 4. Remember to light your fireworks on a flat surface away from trees and brush. It’s also a good idea to have a bucket of water and a hose on hand to soak used fireworks before disposal.

We’re able to keep our bar (and your drinks) frosty in the 100-degree weather with a little help from CHILL*RITE and their one-of-a-kind frost rail system. Frost rails are connected to a remotely located chilling system that continuously feeds refrigerant to all of the rails.  It runs at a very low temperature so that the system creates ice as fast as it’s melting.

Think of it working like an open freezer door; the frost builds up from the humidity in the air. The frost rails can refrigerate a surface in warm ambient conditions; the surface then condensates and the frost rail system freezes the condensation. With precise temperature controls, it’s able to totally control how much ice builds and how evenly it forms.

All it takes to get a chilled CHILL*RITE bar rail is a quick flip of the switch. Once the switch is activated, the system begins creating frost, with a full pattern formed in a couple of hours. Once started, the chilling system runs around the clock. There is a built in defrost system with a programmed time clock that turns the system off when our bar is closed and automatically on just before the bar opens. When in defrost mode, the ice melts, drains, and the frost rail system dries off automatically. Then, when the system comes back on in the morning, fresh ice is formed.

Originally, CHILL*RITE invented and patented the frost rail technology as a unique ice effect to draw patrons in. Our pool is currently the only public place in Las Vegas that you can find a frost rail bar. But, if you really fall in love with our frost rails, you can get them installed in your own home. They can be built to any size and practically any shape. Plus, they’re really fun to write your name on.

Hollywood has worked side by side with superstars such as DJ AM, Paul Van Dyk, Bob Sinclair, Tiesto, and Grand Master Flash. Aside from performing, he also owns and operates The Beatclan, which represents other top-name DJ’s, celebrities and recording artists. Needless to say, he’s got a hot lineup coming to our pool this season.

We caught up with the celebrity DJ to get the DL on what we can look forward to in terms of poolside entertainment.

What are you most looking forward to with performing at DayDream?
I’ve headlined and directed the biggest day/nightlife venues in the world from Wet Republic to PURE and I can honestly say that DayDream intrigues me the most! The layout and intimate setting enables me to throw down a more eclectic set than I normally would spin. I get to recreate myself every time I’m on the decks. You can’t ask for much more as a DJ.

What’s it like spinning at DayDream compared to other pool venues in Las Vegas?
M Resort draws a more sophisticated crowd than the other pool venues in Vegas. I’m able to be as creative as I’d like to, while veering away from Top 40/dance hits that you’ll likely hear at every other dayclub.

How do you try to approach your sets?
I approach every session differently. My sets are filled with peaks and valleys taking my crowd on a journey that always leaves them wanting more.

What genres or artists influence you the most and what do you listen to on your own time?
I’m an expert in over ten genres, ranging from the 50′s to today’s music and I honestly can’t put a finger on which genre has influenced me and my profession the most. But, in my quiet time, I get lost in contemporary music. Sade, Billy Joel, Matisyahu, to name a few.

Any favorite songs or artists?
For the dance floor: Titanium or David Guetta. In the car, any Frank Sinatra and while I play poker, Sade.

What can we expect this season from you and the other DJs from The Beatclan?
I represent, in my estimation, the best core DJ crew in the city. Expect nothing but the best.

The Beatclan is also producing 98.5 KLUC’s Summer Jam event. Tell us a little about that.
Summer Jam is going to be nuts and there’s no better venue to host it than the M Resort’s pool! The Wanted, Karmin, HardNox, Chris Renee and myself will be performing on June 17. This is truly a can’t-miss event!

We’re starting early by the pool, join us at 10am for the grand opening celebration for Villaggio del Sole, our Main Pool. DayDream Pool Club will also be open at 11am for fiesta-goers with DJ KoKo kicking off his weekly residency. If the sun wears you out, take a quick siesta and come party the night away in the M Pavilion. We’ll be drinking, dancing, partying and gaming until the wee hours with a little help from 98.5 KLUC and X107.5. Doors open at 6 pm and authentic Mexican entertainment from the Mexico Vivo Dance Company and musical performers Toto Zara will by kicking off the festivities. Our favorite local lounge duo Zowie Bowie will be continuing the fiesta when they take the stage at 10pm!

Get into the spirit with our cinco drink specials, including our featured drink The M Margarita; made with Durango Gold Tequila, Gionelli Triple Sec, Lefty O’Doul’s Key Lime and Sweet and Sour you won’t want to pass up this concoction. Be sure to come hungry! We’ll be hosting a gathering of South of the Border food trucks featuring Lola D’s Kitchen, Redneck Kitchen and Pop’s Cheesesteaks.

Remember to wear your sexiest Cinco outfit or sombrero; we’ll be randomly giving out mystery prizes all night long to those who display the most Cinco de Mayo spirit! Tickets are on sale now and are still available for $10 through Friday. Prices go up to $15 on May 5 and are available at the door.

Think popsicles couldn’t get any better, how about ones with a little kick? We’re serving up SnoBar’s signature line of alcohol infused popsicles and ice creams. Each serving of the flavorsome frozen treats are equivalent to one mixed drink.

SnoBar’s Cosmopolitan Ice-Pop is delivering premium vodka and triple sec in the form of a contemporary dessert.  This sexy, frozen cocktail on a stick is ideal for the sophisticated vanguard and a perfect addition to a day at the pool. If a margarita’s more your style, SnoBar’s Margarita Pop infuses tequila and triple sec into a dessert with swagger.  This modern twist on the beloved drink is a “must try” frozen cocktail on a stick.

For something a little sweeter, SnoBar’s four different flavors of infused ice cream are just what the doctor ordered. Served by the scoop, you can choose from Pink Squirrel (brandy, almond liqueur and reme de cacao), Grasshopper (brandy, creme de menthe and creme de cacao), Brandy Alexander (brandy and creme de cacao) and Brandy Alexander Chocolate Chip (brandy, creme de cacao and chocolate chips).

Delicious frozen cocktails are a poolside staple and our list of libations certainly won’t disappoint. For a new twist on a traditional favorite, try our Ultimate Root Beer Float.  This delectable creation features SnoBar’s Brandy Alexander ice cream with root beer, served by the half yard in a souvenir glass. We also offer many popular cocktails in frozen form like: Frozen Jack and Coke and Frozen Cherry Coke with cherry vodka.

Preparing 100,000 square feet of space is a huge task and our team began work as soon as last season ended. Although we make improvements year-round, the pace really starts picking up in February when all of the last-minute details are being finalized. In preparation for the official opening, the pool equipment goes through inspection and servicing as well as deep cleaning. The pools are drained and acid washed, furniture is evaluated for repair and replacement needs and our decks are power washed so they are spotless for guests. The last step is moving over 400 chairs and numerous daybeds out of storage and into position.

After cleaning and servicing, it's time to stock up! Our pool bars go through a lot of liquid and we can't blame them; it gets hot out here in the desert. Both bars are fully stocked to satisfy our guests' orders for cocktails, beers, bottle service and drinks by the pitcher. Mojitos anyone?

Our large deck can accommodate up to 6,000 people, but on a busy weekend you'll probably see about 1,500 guests throughout the day. With that many people, we need a lot of towels. On an average weekday we go through over 800 towels and on a weekend over 2,000!

DayDream is now open to the public for your pool and sun bathing needs and our Main Pool will be opening on May 1. We have a quarter of a million gallons of (heated) water in all of our pools and over 60 trained team members to make sure your every need is taken care of. Grab your swimsuit and dive in on your next visit to M!

It's safe to say that by now you know the ins and outs of having a great time at our pool. SPF, tropical drinks, a cabana, you know the drill. We've even given you tips to making your M poolside experience as hot (or cool) as possible. So, after you're all set up in your cabana, cocktail in hand you might be getting a little hungry (blame it on the alcohol.) You're ready to chow down but still want to keep your figure looking good so what's a bikini-clad pool patron to do? Lucky for you our Pool Team has taken special consideration in developing figure-friendly menu options.

Below you can find some of our favorites that are perfect to munch on by the pool, all options are swimsuit-friendly!

Classic Cobb - Our classic Cobb salad has one very important slimming ingredient, avocados! Avocados are a monounsaturated fat. These types of good fats (saturated fats = bad fats) stop spikes in blood sugar (which signals the body to store fat around your midsection), helping prevent fat accumulation.

Fruit Plate - Our selection of seasonal berries and other sliced fruit is probably the go-to menu item for those looking to stay fit. Berries are strong in antioxidants. Antioxidants help improve blood flow, which helps deliver more oxygen to your muscles. The more oxygen your muscles have the easier being active and working out feels.

Chicken Caesar Wrap - While this may sound like your ordinary salad wrap, the best ingredient is in the packaging. Our Chicken Caesar Wrap comes bundled up in a spinach tortilla. Spinach is low in calories but still very high in vitamins. Popeye didn't down all those cans of spinach for nothing!
