Ultimate Root Beer Float

This adult frozen treat is a favorite poolside and the perfect pleasure in 110º heat. It’s a twist on a traditional favorite featuring SnoBar’s Brandy Alexander ice cream. Brandy and crème de cacao are married with premium dairy in a deliciously rich ice cream with 3 Olives Root Beer Vodka and root beer, of course. This delectable drink packs a punch in a souvenir mug when you order the Ultimate version of this fun frozen treat.

The Hot Mess

Since we’d rather DayDream then go to Rehab, we’re solving our Sunday mornings with a Hot Mess. This drink has a kick of a different sort since it’s made with fresh jalapenos. Ciroc Coconut Vodka makes it a cocktail adults dream about while the Agave Nectar and fresh watermelon juice take the bite out of the spicy jalapenos. What makes this one even better for the ladies? It’s pink, of course and no one can argue with that.

The Shot-Ski

Our shot-ski is what turns any day spent poolside into a party. Originating from the University of British Columbia, it’s an actual ski with four shot glasses in which our lovely Girls of DayDream will assist. Plus, we have a special shot-ski menu AND when you purchase three shots, you get the fourth one free! You can’t get this special anywhere else as DayDream is the only club in Las Vegas that offers the shot-ski. The most popular shot this summer according to our Director of Daylife & Nightlife, Joe Bravo, is Fireball Canadian Cinnamon Whisky. With its fiery cinnamon kick and smooth whisky finish, it’s like atomic candy in your mouth.

Massage

Dads everywhere are looking for ways to relax.  He’ll relieve muscle tension and reduce stress with a therapeutic massage. It is a powerful ally in any health regimen. The Therapeutic Massage uses deep tissue strokes to relieve muscle tension and is an excellent treatment for athletic dads as it helps with injury rehabilitation and prevention. The Relaxation Massage is a traditional Swedish massage. Benefits include improving circulation, and body motion. It’s the perfect treat for busy dads everywhere.

Barber Services

How about treating Dad to a traditional barber service? One of Spa Mio’s coolest services is the Master Shave perfected by master barber, Vinnie. This relaxing escape begins with applying lather to the face and a hot, steaming towel to open up the pores. The total process involves several steps including pre-shave oil for a smoother shave and to prevent irritation, plus reapplication of lather and a hot towel, not to mention after-shave balm, a cold press towel, and a moisturizer. This is definitely the ultimate treat for dad!

Real Men Get Facials

Dads remember to exercise their bodies, but a facial helps exercise the face. It’s not just for opening pores and moisturizing. Our Essential M Facial can be customized for Dad’s skin. Plus, it includes a massage of the neck.

1. We have to ask. Why Neil Diamond? We believe Neil Diamond is one of America’s greatest singer/songwriters of all time. A lot of people don’t realize that, so it’s our mission to spread the “good word” of Neil all across America.

2. Super Diamond has been interpreting and recreating the sounds of Neil Diamond for nearly 20 years. How did the six of you meet? And how challenging has it been to keep the group together for two decades? I was sitting in with some San Francisco bands now and then, playing solo for a few years before meeting the right kind of people to create a group. Super Diamond is a combination of guys that I sat in with during those San Francisco years. We were all on the same page as far as approaching our Neil Diamond show with an alternative edge and a little bit of tongue in cheek humor…just a little! 

3. The Diamond hits are many – “America,” “Sweet Caroline” and “Cracklin’ Rose” to name a few – what is your favorite song to perform and why? My favorite song we play is “Brooklyn Roads”. It’s an amazing song musically, and it’s something I personally relate to.

4. You’ve met the real Neil several times, what was the experience like? Each time meeting Neil was awesome! He sang with us twice! Unreal!! He’s a very normal and down-to-earth guy for a living legend.

5. How is Surreal Neil different from Randy Cordeiro? Surreal Neil is a ham and Randy is shy, and I hear that all the time. It took me a while to get Surreal Neil to move around that much and take control with so much confidence.

6. Have you performed in Las Vegas before and what was the audience response? We’ve played Las Vegas many times and the response has always been terrific! Just like everywhere else, really. Neil Diamond fans are the best, wherever we go!

7. You’ve performed all over the country, what continues to drive you and the band to perform? We love our job! Every show is a party! We get to travel and see our friends in different cities. Best job I’ve ever had! 

8. What can Diamond Head fans expect to see when they come to your show at the M Pavilion in June? We’ve created a great, brand new mash-up of “Desiree” and “Long Time” by Boston we hope they enjoy, and you won’t hear any recorded tracks at a Super Diamond show. It’s all live.

9. Where do you see yourselves and/or Super Diamond in 5 or 10 years? Continuing to spread the “good word” of Neil across America! For 20 years we’ve improved as a band and I have no doubt that we will be a better band in five years, and better yet in 10. Also playing Europe and Australia are some of our goals.

10.  What’s your favorite drink and what does it say about you? Love on the rocks! Ain’t no surprise.

If there’s a graduation or family reunion in your near future, we’ve got a special summer Reception Menu for you! The “first kiss” of L.I.P.P. Service at DayDream Pool Club begins Monday, June 3 and continues every Monday through September 23.  All local daylife and nightlife industry folks receive free admission when they show their industry I.D. Plus, the venue that brings out the largest crew will receive a complimentary bottle. There will also be weekly bottle and drink specials to get the party started. And, these parties start at noon so you can catch some z’s and not miss out on the fun.

“It’s important to us that industry people have a place to go where they can be treated like they treat their guests on a daily basis,” said Joe Bravo, Director of Pool & Nightlife at the M Resort. “People can come here, without fighting the Strip traffic and find easy-access parking. Plus, they won’t be paying Strip prices for four-star service.”

To make things a little more fun (is that even possible?), we’ll be honoring our neighboring country of Canada for Canada Day at our July 1 industry pool party. Since we’re known for having the best cocktail waitresses in town, they’ll be decked out in Canadian Mountie gear. Plus, DJ Casanova of the BeatClan will have control of the booth while you’re enjoying Fire Ball Canadian Whiskey drink specials.

DayDream has 10 cabanas and six daybeds to up the status of your industry party this summer. The concierge will always assist guests with even the little things. Maybe you arrived at our hotel and forgot to send your mother flowers for her birthday.  Or it’s your wedding anniversary and you want flowers delivered to your room. Our intuitive and engaging concierge will take that to the next level. They will have them delivered to your dinner table after they’ve set up the dinner reservation for you and advised the restaurant manager about your anniversary celebration. Don’t be surprised if a special dessert miraculously arrives at the end of your meal as a result. Perhaps you just need to rent a car, get driving directions or have your boarding pass printed. Position: DayDream Pool Club Ambassador

On any given day, you can find Kip Cottner displaying his signature smile as he mixes and mingles with guests at our adult pool club, DayDream. He artfully moves from cabana to daybed to lounge chairs greeting guests and making sure they’re having a great time. As a DayDream Pool Club Ambassador, Kip is tasked with creating an atmosphere and delivering a level of service (four-star) that will make you want to come back again and again.

As a newbie to the Vegas pool scene and to our resort, we wanted to get to know him more so we caught up with him poolside to talk academics and why he loves this city.

Vegas native…No. I’m originally from Missouri. I moved to Vegas in December because my older brother lives here.

What I you love about Las Vegas is…The weather. I love being outside and Vegas has the perfect weather.

When I’m not working, I’m…Going to school. Right now, I’m attending UNLV and getting my Master’s in healthcare administration. I have my undergraduate in business management and I’m hoping to combine both and eventually become a director at a hospital. 

When I’m not at school or working, I like working out and competing in body building shows. Last August I won the St. Louis Gateway Naturals competition placing in the Collegiate and Novice categories.

Something interesting about me is…I broke my neck while playing football in college. I played safety at Southeast Missouri State University and during a game I ended up suffering a pretty major neck injury. I had to have my spine fused and I was in a neck brace for two and half months. The recovering was really hard, but I thankfully I made a full recovery. 

The Vegas pool scene is….fun. I love working at DayDream and love working at the M. The environment that we’re creating is one that is very personal and local-oriented. In fact, one of the things that attracted me to the M and to DayDream specifically was how team-focused it is. It’s a lot of fun coming to work every day.

Favorite drink…Vodka water with a lime

People should visit DayDream because….we’re a service-oriented dayclub that always has locals in mind. We want our guests to come back again and again because of the service, the experience, and the people they meet while they’re here.

The Micro Burger

This burger is the most popular burger at the restaurant and it’s easy to see why. Seasoned with lemon pepper and topped with sliced avocado, New Belgium Fat Tire braised tomatoes, micro greens, and fresh goat cheese, this burger is all about the meat and the greens. It’s the perfect choice to get your taste buds to open up and savor a good gourmet burger.

The Imperial Burger

This royally-named burger is certainly the king of burgers. First it’s seasoned with salt & pepper and next topped with short ribs braised in Sam Smith’s Oatmeal Stout. This is the ultimate meat lover’s burger. Add the sliced mushrooms with carmelized yellow onions and gruyere cheese and this burger is a feast for the eyes and the stomach.

Indian Pale Ale Burger (I.P.A.)

When we asked Kyle what his favorite burger was, he was quick to respond.  “My favorite is the I.P.A Burger. Just like an Indian Pale Ale, this burger has a lot of flavors that work perfectly together.” If you like your burger hot and kicking, this is definitely the burger for you. This burger is first seasoned with BBQ Spice. Next it’s topped with roasted hatch chilies; Firestone Union Jack IPA battered fried jalapeno pepper slices and pepper jack cheese. All of these flavors married together deliver the perfect spicy burger.

A Lavish Treat

At $235 Spa Mio’s New Signature Massage is the crème de la crème of spa treatments. The Suite Life

At 2,400 square feet and with 270º views of the Las Vegas Valley, the Loft Suite is simply breathtaking. The architectural details are exquisite and the drop-down flat screen in the master bedroom is a welcomed added touch. Other cool features include the separate steam shower, freestanding spa tub, etched glass, a modern marble staircase, and the same mirror finished metal featured throughout the resort. It also has two living room areas, a wet bar, and a pop-up big screen and it’ll only cost you $1,500 per night.

Sips Worth Savoring

At $11,000 a bottle and rated at a perfect 100 points, Saint-Émilion, Château Ausone, Grand Cru Classé ‘A’ 2005 is a bottle worth savoring and saving! It is said this wine will no doubt be drinking well a century from now since Château Ausone continues to age after the first 50 years it is bottled. If you’re looking for a wine to truly wow, try  the 1982 Château Pétrus, Pomerol at a distinguished $14,900 per bottle. It is a bold and spicy wine, 95 percent  Merlot and 5 percent Cabernet Franc. An interesting side note, both the Saint-Émilion and Château Pétrus are from Bordeaux, France and the estates nearly border each other. At these prices, we’d be savoring every sip.
