We all at one time or another have dreamed about the suite life, or maybe you’re already living it! Either way, we’ve rounded up some of the most luxurious things we have at our four-star resort and we’re ready to share them with you!

A Lavish Treat

At $235 Spa Mio’s New Signature Massage is the crème de la crème of spa treatments. Offering relaxation and rejuvenation from head to toe, this new service is a customized pressure massage with Reflexology and Cranial techniques. It features a signature blend of Balance and Citrus Bliss doTERRA Essential Oils. And since we’re all about luxury, add-on a Warm Oil Scalp Massage to bring this treatment to the next level.

The Suite Life

At 2,400 square feet and with 270º views of the Las Vegas Valley, the Loft Suite is simply breathtaking. The architectural details are exquisite and the drop-down flat screen in the master bedroom is a welcomed added touch. Other cool features include the separate steam shower, freestanding spa tub, etched glass, a modern marble staircase, and the same mirror finished metal featured throughout the resort. It also has two living room areas, a wet bar, and a pop-up big screen and it’ll only cost you $1,500 per night.

Sips Worth Savoring

At $11,000 a bottle and rated at a perfect 100 points, Saint-Émilion, Château Ausone, Grand Cru Classé ‘A’ 2005 is a bottle worth savoring and saving! It is said this wine will no doubt be drinking well a century from now since Château Ausone continues to age after the first 50 years it is bottled. If you’re looking for a wine to truly wow, try the 1982 Château Pétrus, Pomerol at a distinguished $14,900 per bottle. It is a bold and spicy wine, 95 percent Merlot and 5 percent Cabernet Franc. An interesting side note, both the Saint-Émilion and Château Pétrus are from Bordeaux, France and the estates nearly border each other. At these prices, we’d be savoring every sip.

If you could live in pure luxury for one day, which of these would you choose? Let us know if there was something we missed!

Besides our focus on exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences, at the M Resort we also embrace sustainability as part of our duty to protect the environment. We recognize that environmental sustainability is a long-term journey, not a short-term endeavor and we’re as committed to helping our environment as we are to delivering four-star service to our guests. So in celebration of Earth Day on April 22 we wanted to share just a few of the things we’ve done and continue to do to preserve the environment.

When we opened our doors four years ago as a cutting edge resort-casino we knew incorporating environmentally sound initiatives was a must. In fact, the mere design and materials used to build our resort were chosen specifically because of their low environmental impact and cost-savings, like our glass.

Our hotel is entirely made of glass; however, it is a special glass. It is a double-glazed tinted glass with low-e coating. So, what does that mean? Heat and A/C loss may be cut in half! In addition, the tint reduces the effect of glare. Also, due to the tint, the amount of solar heat transmitted through the glass is half that of a single glazed glass. And, something that our guests may have noticed is that though it’s tinted, it has a visible transmittance closer to that of clear glass which maximizes the amount of natural light throughout the resort.

In addition to the exterior materials used to build our resort, inside, each hotel room is fitted with a WattStopper. It is a little black box in which our guests insert their room key upon entering. Once the room key is inserted, the lights automatically come on. And, when the key is removed, the lights will turn off in approximately 30 seconds. Though you must insert a key, each light is still operated by an actual light switch, so our guests are still able to decide which lights they will use at what time – just like at home. Managing our lighting digitally offers consistent, optimal energy-efficient performance with immediate gain.

“Be water smart,” is a phrase we hear in the desert southwest all the time. So, that’s why we have Xeriscaping here at our resort. Xeriscaping is a way of landscaping which reduces the need to rely on water from irrigation and also uses plants that can tolerate our local weather pattern. Since Las Vegas gets less than 10 inches of rain per year, watering must be efficient in order to minimize evaporation. Plants like the Red Yucca, Deer Grass, Indian Hawthorns and Agave flourish in our valley with very little water.

Some other ways we’re being water smart is our Linen Reuse/“Go Green” initiative. Our guests are given the opportunity to forgo their linen and towels being changed by placing a “Go Green” door hanger outside their door daily. In exchange, we give our guests $5 each day they choose to “Go Green” to use at Spa Mio, our four star spa and salon, or for food and beverage during their stay. It’s our little way of saying “Thank you!” for helping us in our cause to be environmentally-conscious.

Have a question about our sustainability practices? Just ask! Meanwhile, what things are you doing to conserve waste, energy or water?

When the M Resort opened in 2009, we knew it was something special with its contemporary architecture and extraordinary interior design. Since then, there are several design features that continue to awe us. Here’s a look at a few of our favorites:

The Floating Marble Staircase

We could have put in an escalator, but the dramatic affect just wouldn’t have been the same. Instead, located just off our hotel lobby and leading down to our four-star spa and pool deck, we opted for a magnificent floating marble staircase. A lot of work went into achieving the illusion that the staircase is floating. In fact, the staircase was actually cast in place and the concrete poured into it. Next, it was fitted with stone risers. The vertical and horizontal stone members on the underside were mechanically fastened to the concrete to give the illusion of solid block stairs. That’s what makes this modern marvel such a neat thing to look at.

The Sheer Amount of Steel

We have an insurmountable amount of stainless steel throughout our resort. We have it in the lobby, the casino, and on every floor in the hotel (Note: you can find giant steel M’s on the east end of every floor). For those of you in interior design, the stainless steel we use is considered a number eight polish finish which is equivalent to a mirror finish. It’s noted for its high reflectance and ability to make things feel lighter. And, it sparkles. Our extraordinary staff spends time every day making sure it shines for our guests.

The Imported Italian Marble

All the marble throughout the entire resort was imported from Italy. “Each individual piece of the marble for both the exterior and interior walls was drawn, dimensioned, labeled, and created in such a way that it would go up like a puzzle,” says Bryan Taylor, Vice President of Design for Marnell Companies, the design-construction firm that built our fabulous resort. “All of these details meant that very little cutting had to be completed on site during the actual installation of the stone,” he added. Even the pieces that surround doors and windows were measured and sized for those particular spaces. If you’ve walked our property, you’ll note that marble is everywhere from the floors, to the walls in the lobby and the corridor, as well as the valet.

The M Bar’s Chandelier

Lastly, did you know our incredible chandelier in the M Bar is made almost entirely of little “M’s”? Next time you’re relaxing at our center casino bar, look up. This gorgeous chandelier is 16 feet tall and has 13 tiers of crystal! There are three different colors of crystal that make up the chandelier however the actual amount of crystal is a mystery because there is A LOT!

Do you have a favorite design element at our resort? Let us know!

It’s that time of year again. The battle lines have been drawn regarding what resort, restaurant, bar, and more are the best in Las Vegas. For a different take, we thought we’d bring you some of our “Best Of” property picks.

Best View of the Las Vegas Strip

At 400 feet above the strip, our view of the valley is more than incredible – it’s spectacular. There is nothing like Fourth of July in one of our Strip side rooms. Not only can you see the fireworks spewing off the top of the Stratosphere, but also in almost every neighborhood and city park in the valley, too. The view is nothing short of amazing. When Vegas experiences one of its many summer lightning storms, it gets even better. You can enjoy Mother Nature from inside your comfy hotel room as the lightning stretches from the clouds above to the ground below.

Best Suite

If you’ve taken a look through our website, we have three different suite layouts available for our guests to enjoy. Though the Loft Suite is award-winning and the largest at 2,400 square feet, we think our smallest suite, the Classic, may just be the best. First, it’s functional. At 1,100 square feet, its rectangular shape allows for rollaway beds should you need them for additional guests and it offers a most comfortable couch with a chaise lounge not available in our other suites. Second, the bar area is located over marble instead of carpet. So if anyone has too much fun, the spillage ends up on the marble instead of the carpet (which means no room damage fee). You add that up with a 15th floor view of the Las Vegas Strip, and you have not only the Best Suite, but the Best View, too.

Best Drink

We asked our Beverage Manager, Ziggy Pawlowski, and he says that even after four years, the M Fantasy is still the best selling drink off of our specialty menu – hands down. So, what makes it the best? If Stoli Blueberi Vodka, Silk Road Plum Sake and muddled blueberries don’t get you excited, it’s also topped with an edible orchid. It’s sweet, smooth, and it’s gorgeous!

Best Dessert

Although our vanilla crème brulee is our best-selling dessert, we think our absolute best dessert is our Peanut Butter Pie. It’s rich. It’s decadent. It’s sinful. Your taste buds will be screaming with delight after just one bite. It’s available at both Anthony’s Prime Steak & Seafood and in a mini version which we love at Anthony’s Burgers & Brews. We dare you to try it the next time you come by.

Best Souvenir

Our Vice Shop and Essentials shop have plenty of fun things to offer from f-shirts and handbags to onesies, hats, and even Nike® brand M golf balls. But if we were going home, we thought we might take something a little unconventional. Our luxury spa, Spa Mio has something we can’t do without – candles made in signature scents! You can take home scents like Love Spell and Green Tea. These candles are hand poured and made from soy oil. The burning candles emit no toxins into the air and have a 30-hour burn time. Even better, the melted candle is warm to the touch, not hot, and can be used on the skin!

Did we miss something that you think is a best of pick at our property? Let us know!

Hotel bathrooms have come a long way from the days of being merely functional. Few surprises are delightful as discovering the room you just checked-in to has a stunning, marble-clad sanctuary waiting behind its door. And let’s be honest, there’s just something so relaxing about knowing that all of those plush towels will be washed for you. Here at M, we’ve come up with luxurious ways to cater to your very basic needs. Hold on to your shower caps as we take you through some of the coolest features of our hotel rooms’ lavish lavatories.

The start of an extravagant restroom is the material used to make it. The basis of our bathrooms (like the rest of our resort) is imported Italian marble. Our bathrooms are outfitted with marble floors, marble vanities and even marble showers. The showers themselves are entirely glass-enclosed giving a wet-room style feel and the ability to take a steam shower. Aside from showers, every room also has its own separate bathtub.

More than 70% of our guest rooms have a view of the Las Vegas Strip, but 100% of our posh powder rooms feature deluxe standalone tubs with their very own outlook of more than just the bathroom sink. A window (with a retractable privacy shade) is located in front of the tubs in our Resort Room, Executive Resort Room and Classic One Bedroom Suite giving guests a breathtaking view through their suite and out onto the Strip or mountains. Our Flat and Loft Suites feature freestanding spa tubs located directly in front of windows, all with Strip views.

If a view isn’t the only thing you want to look at, glance over at the mirror located above the sink. That black square you see isn’t a smudge; it’s actually a television screen that’s inlaid into the glass. These decadent features are bound to make you want to skip right to our “loo” during your next visit to the M. Do you have a favorite feature in our restrooms? Leave us a comment below and tell us about it!

Flashy signs have been lighting up the Las Vegas skyline throughout history. Oversized glittering displays mark the entryway to our city, with the Welcome to Las Vegas sign, and signs of the past are preserved at the Neon Museum. A showy sign is standard embellishment for Vegas resorts and can be spotted adorning the buildings of just about all of them.

Our resort is lit up by a marquee and two giant M-shaped signs, one on either side of our glass building. Our M signs aren't your ordinary Vegas signage. While traditional Vegas signs are outfitted with neon, our Ms are fully composed of LED lighting, a green alternative for sign lighting. LEDs or light emitting diodes use much less electricity than their flashing counterparts. Each M has thousands of LEDs and is over 60 feet tall.

Not only can our LED Ms light up any color in the RBG spectrum, they can also display any type of video. We even have the ability to display a full movie on our Ms. On a typical night you'll most likely see our logoed signs light up in blues and light yellows. During the holidays they display anything from pumpkins and candy canes to snowflakes and even an Italian flag during special events.

The control room at M where the sign images are changed.

To keep our Ms looking good, our team of designers creates color schemes in video format. When our resort opened, over 30 different color combinations were presented to our resort's president who had the final say in which colors got the go ahead for the Ms. To actually get the colors to appear on them, our creative team uses specialized software and hardware to upload the videos and control when each one is displayed.

Whether you're approaching M from Las Vegas Boulevard or driving in from California, our unique building shape makes the M signs viewable from nearly every angle. On your next visit to M, we invite you to take a look up (after dark) to see what color our Ms are.

Las Vegas may be known for its lights year-round but during the Holiday season we like to kick it up another notch. We're decking our halls, trimming our trees and transforming our resort with our annual display of Holiday d?cor. Tis' the season to fill M with holiday cheer from top to bottom and we're able to do so with a little help from Ralph Jones Display Company.

Decorating a resort our size definitely doesn't happen overnight. It takes a team of 12 people over two and a half days to adorn our property for the Holiday season. They use lifts, ladders, lights, garland and more to festoon M for holiday festivities in hues of champagnes, reds and browns.

Think you've got a tall tree? Our holiday display includes two 14-foot trees with oversized custom glass ornaments. From the ceiling of our lobby we have 15-20 foot garland drops, also embellished with oversized glass ornaments.

Hanging above the entrance of our porte-cochere, inside and out are giant wreathes, wrapped in lights, ribbons and ornaments. On the lobby floor you can see a full sleigh on display, filled with presents and complete with reindeer.

We invite you to stop by M to see our holiday decorations in person. They will be on display until January 1. For more holiday happenings at M, join us on December 20, for our Menorah Lighting Ceremony. We'll mark the first night of Hanukkah in our lobby with a giant menorah lighting. Watch the ceremony and enjoy hot chocolate and sugar cookies.

We wish you the happiest of holiday seasons and hope to see you at the M soon!

Chances are it's the lobby. One of the initial impressions many of our guests experience after walking through the front doors under our porte-cochere is taking in the modern elegance found in our lobby. Our lobby is outfitted with many notable architectural facets including water features, a wide and bright glass ceiling and a captivating display of calla lilies.

If you've been to our resort you know the calla lily display draws the most attention. From guests posing next to the flowers to those trying to smell and touch them (they aren't real, by the way) it's a feature of our lobby that can't be overlooked.

The calla lilies display consists of two large, sectioned trellises that bisect the lobby area creating a focal point for the room. The two stainless steel trellis wall panels consist of 40 sections that each contains calla lilies. Every trellis is five sections high and four sections across for a total of 20 sections per side. Each section has approximately 19 to 21 calla lilies giving our lobby's display over 800 total lilies.

The display features hundreds of calla lilies. One of the secrets to our lilies looking ideal everyday is that they're faux. The faux flowers were custom designed for our resort and hand made from silk. Even though they're made of silk, the next time you're near our lilies take a deep breath and see what you smell. Our calla lilies and lobby area are scented with one of our four signature scents used around property.

The next time your find yourself in our lobby take a second to smell the roses calla lilies. If you have a great photo of our lilies, feel free to share it on our Facebook page or stop and take one during your next visit.

Our custom scent, our water features, and even the art we display around our resort have all been hand-picked by our expert Team Members. We spare no expense when it comes to the atmosphere our guests are in and this includes every last fork, knife and glass that you use at M.

When you sit down at one of our restaurants, what's the first thing that catches your eye? Forget about the bread and butter, chances are your gaze focuses on part of our tablescape. Selecting china and flatware for a luxury resort is an important process. The tableware we use is similar to a first impression; it's our initial chance to make the ultimate statement about what you're going to experience. It starts with finding pieces that not only look good but also blend in with our property and restaurants.

The five month selection process for our executives began with determining the look and feel for each restaurant and then seeing what vendors had to showcase. Prior to opening our team looked at over 30 venders with well over 1,000 items. That may seem like a whole lot of tableware but considering we had six restaurants, five bars and lounges, and in-room dining to fill the more options the better! Each and every item, right down to the very last napkin we use has been hand-selected by our team. Every item chosen by our team then received final approval by our President, Anthony A. Marnell III. It was quite a process if you can imagine entire rooms full of napkins, glassware, forks, and plates!

The next time you dine with us, take a closer look at the different plates used throughout your meal. Our team chose refined and elegant tableware selections, with unique pieces mixed in. You'll notice many square and rectangle dishes as well as some with color. A few of our restaurants have texturized woven placemats, a variety of appetizer plates and unique bread baskets. Using an assortment allows us to create uniqueness through the details.

Chances are, when you're at M you'll never want to leave. And, let's be honest, who would actually want to with four-star accommodations like these? If you're missing our M rooms when you're back at home, you're in luck. We've got a list of ways to make your room feel a little more like our rooms. You can't move in with us so this is the next best thing (we promise).

Wash your sheets!

We're not saying you don't wash them enough, but whenever you're at M you know you're jumping into an (extremely comfortable) bed with freshly washed linens every night! Stick to a schedule and you too can enjoy that freshly-cleaned sheet feeling all the time. If you're extra ambitious you can even make your bed just like we do, check out this video with one of our housekeepers demonstrating our signature M bed making technique. And if you really need to bring a piece of the M home with you, purchase sheets at Spa Mio. The sheets are the same used on Spa Mio's massage tables so they're ultra-soft and comfortable.

Go Mini

There's nothing cuter than a product in a smaller size. Whether it's lotions, soaps or shampoos or even those adorable mini-sodas and candies, stock up your room with mini-treats for use or to simply make you feel like you're staying with us.

De-clutter your space

Our rooms were designed with your comfort in mind, incorporating an upscale yet casual (uncluttered) d?cor. Take a look at your room and everything in it and ask yourself, "Do I really need this here?" If the answer is no, get rid of it! Parting with clutter is the easiest way to cleanse your space and make it feel a little more M-like.

Light it up

After you rid your room of clutter, add some more lights. Our rooms are equipped with bedside lamps, closet lights, reading lights, floor lamps and more! Adding a few extra lights here and there will help create a polished and sophisticated look (kind of like our rooms).

Clean your room on Thursdays

Why Thursday you ask? Cleaning before the weekend will allow you more time to relax in your room when you're home to spend the most time there. It also leaves more time for you to do what you want to do. Remind you of something? That's because when you're on vacation here at M, chances are you spend your days relaxing with cleaning being the last thing on your mind. If budget is no object, just spring for a housekeeper, then you'll really be living the M-lifestyle at home.
