The most common New Year resolutions are to eat right and exercise more. You may have made those resolutions and may have started the year off strong swapping mayonnaise with an avocado spread on your sandwich or replacing a handful of chips with sliced apples for a snack. You may have even gotten to the gym or tried a new exercise class. But, alas, sometimes good things come to an end and you may have fallen off the wagon.
Well, good news! It’s February, a new month, and we’re here to help you keep your resolutions. If you’re staying with us or just visiting, our four-star resort offers ways to get help you stay healthy and get fit.
All our restaurants offer healthy alternatives for items on their menus. Need your pasta made with gluten-free noodles? Just ask. Want us to prepare your meal with no-oil? Done. Don’t like a bun with your hamburger? We’ll remove it. Our chefs are happy to accommodate your dietary needs. Of course, the challenge is, we leave it up to you to let us know. If you’re cutting carbohydrates, commit to ordering a burger from Burgers & Brews without the bun. If you’re trying to eat less sugar, don’t make a stop into Baby Cakes, but we know it’s easier said than done.
Let’s start with our fitness center. If you book any spa service with us, you have access to our fitness center complimentary (along with the steam room, sauna, lounge and Jacuzzi). If you just want to use the facility, we offer daily rates for use as well – you don’t even need to be a hotel guest to use our fitness center. When inside the fitness center, you’ll find a variety of cardio and strength training equipment plus complements like fresh fruit and water.
If you’re looking for a structured exercise option, try our yoga classes. Spa Mio offers two varieties of yoga classes Yinyasa and Kundalini. Classes are offered Wednesday-Friday at 7:30 am and you can purchase a single session or packages of 10 or 20 classes. Additionally, Spa Mio offers private classes by appointment too.
