Things To Do Before Saying “I Do”

The holidays may be over, but if you got a sparkly diamond in your stocking this year, your planning is just starting! First and foremost, if you did get engaged over the holidays, congratulations! Exciting times are ahead, along with a million decisions, and we’re here to help! Whether you have a lavish Kardashian-styled wedding or you plan simple nuptials with only family and a few friends, planning for your wedding is still going to be a challenge with a lot of things to think about and do.

Depending on the size and budget of your wedding, you can hire a professional wedding coordinator or try to do it all on your own. Either way, there is going to be a lot to organize. A wedding binder with a checklist is a great way to keep up with all your appointments, vendors and receipts as well as a place to start collecting inspirational photos on décor, wedding dresses, make-up, flowers and more.

Your checklist should include three main sections: Budget, Vendors and Checklist. There are some wedding planner checklists that are online and have very detailed charts or lists. For example, you can create a chart with tables and make your seating chart. If you have to make changes, you do it on the computer. The day before the wedding you print it off and you’re done. You can keep up with your wedding guests, calendar to send out invites & save your favorite wedding websites, tips or photos.

Some venues will have a wedding planner that goes along with having the wedding there. At our four-star resort we have a coordinator that works with the bride to complete every detail. We also have a selection of customizable wedding packages designed to make the planning easier. Our packages include everything from venue to food and beverage, wedding cake and even spa services for hair and make-up. Having everything under one roof allows brides to focus on the joy of getting married rather than the stress of the details.
