Blue Moon Swamp Comes to the M Pavilion
Anything worth doing is worth doing well according to Blue Moon Swamp, the John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band. Reproducing the concert experience of an American treasure like John Fogerty is something the band takes seriously as they perform to crowds all over the country. This Saturday, Nov. 16 the band will perform inside our M Pavilion.
Moving seamlessly from songs like 1968′s classic “Susie Q” to mid-80s hit “Centerfield” and brand new music from the much celebrated 2007 release “Revival,” Blue Moon Swamp has stunned audiences from coast to coast. It’s a lifetime of unforgettable hits in a single night performance. Led by the vocals of award-winning performer Dan McGuinness, Blue Moon Swamp treats audiences to a powerful, authentic musical journey through, arguably, some of the best American rock & roll ever recorded.
McGuinness’ remarkable ability to take the best of John Fogerty and make it his own adds incredible depth and richness to the concert experience, making Blue Moon Swamp a dynamic and visually entertaining live event for all audience types.
Emulating the vocals of Fogerty and his distinct guitar work, (performed by Pat Keiner) however, is only part of what made CCR so powerful and extraordinary. Having the right players to pull off the Hall of Fame rhythm section is just as important! Complemented by the solid and powerful drumming of Joe Kunkel performing the historic drumming backbone of Doug “Cosmo” Clifford is equally significant. Bassist Mike McKeehan from Cincinatti, Ohio tackles the other half of the rhythm section playing the legendary Stu Cook bass parts. McGuinness has fun and takes great pride each and every night in taking a page out of rhythm guitar player Tom Fogerty’s book by saying “he was one of the greatest rock & roll rhythm guitar players ever, period.”
As a singer, McGuinness has opened up for, sat in or performed with various bands through the years including Pat Benetar, Jerry Jeff Walker, Johnny Hickman of Cracker, Danny Rhodes & The Messengers, Paula Nelson Band, Peter White, Mindi Abair, Bobby Caldwell and most notably with the legendary touring group, Creedence Clearwater Revisited. CCR fans from around the world have positively embraced Blue Moon Swamp noting their authenticity with rave reviews.
If you’re a fan of John Fogerty and Creedence Clearwater Revival you don’t want to miss this show. Tickets start at $19.50 (plus taxes and fees) and can be purchased at our box office or through Ticketmaster. We hope to see you at the show!
