Good Music & the Good Ol’ Days Meet Inside Ravello’s Jazz Nights
Earlier this week, we brought you a Q&A with Tony Suraci of The Highwayman. He’ll be bringing his high-energy, Outlaw country performance to the M Pavilion this weekend (get your tickets now… head to our Facebook page for a special 2-for-1 ticket offer!).
Today, we’re in the mood for some feel good, infectious grooves. Grooves that can only be found inside Ravello Lounge every Wednesday night during smooth jazz.
If you appreciate good music (and no cover!) and a trip back to the “good ol’ days,” Ravello’s smooth jazz nights are for you. With respected jazz pianist Ghalib Ghallab at the helm (he’s been performing for 33 years!), you can expect an array of alluring sounds ranging from simmering Latin sambas and strident modern funk to classical trio-format jazz and rollicking roadhouse blues. It’s a full fusion of classical jazz, Latin jazz, funk and blues. Plus, each week, Ghalib welcomes unique and accomplished jazz artists as special guests, so each week, you’ll also hear someone new.
Throughout the evening, Ghalib delivers jazz stops in the American musical heartland where his blues roots come to the forefront on tunes like “Sweet Home Chicago.” The ride continues to South America where Ghalib reveals rhythmic skills on Latin sambas, then swings back into the land of pure American pop and R&B classics like “Fly Me to the Moon,” “Summertime” and “My Funny Valentine.”
It’s truly a relaxing way to help you “get through” the week. So, come soak in the nostalgic notes, lounge on the seductive couches and ask for a glass of wine (there’s a special wine menu during jazz nights) and we promise you’ll be marking your calendar to come back every Wednesday.
Smooth Jazz inside Ravello every Wednesday starting at 8 pm
