“As Single As You Wanna Be” Saturdays at Hostile Grape

March 11th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

Many of you attended, and many more of you may have seen or heard about our “As Single As I Wanna Be” party for this past Valentine’s Day at M Resort. It was held down in our wine bar, Hostile Grape, which has one of the coolest, sexiest atmospheres of any venue in Las Vegas. We decided to give ladies who
HG-Val-Red-Heels2blogshowed up in their sexiest red stilettos a free bottle of wine and wow did that party turn into a hit! With a $20 cover getting you two specialty cocktails or a $20 wine card (and in the door too by the way) the party offered a really good time and great value for the money.

We received a ton of comments about how there weren’t any good singles nights and events here in Las Vegas and could we, maybe, possibly, pretty please have more of these parties at Hostile Grape? Well the “pretty pleases” have been answered.

Get Cozy – A look at M Resort accommodations

March 9th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

Everyone wants to stay in a hotel that has great amenities – you’ve traveled all that way, spent your hard-earned cash and the last thing you want is to stay somewhere that doesn’t offer you a ton of great things to spend your time doing. This is a particular area of concern for properties in Vegas. Why? Unlike hotels in many other places around the world, much of your time in Vegas will be dedicated to activities on-property. But what we really wanted to talk about is something that can often be overlooked as a result of this phenomenon – accommodations.

We don’t know about you, but we think your guest room needs to be something pretty special. A property can have great gaming, fantastic restaurants, live entertainment, etc., but if you open the door to your room after checking-in and are disappointed with what you find, the entire trip is going to leave a bad taste in your mouth. Here at M Resort, we think the only taste you’ll be left with after staying in our guest rooms is something delightful. We understand that the room you return to after each day enjoying our property and the rest of Vegas needs to complement and enhance your stay. So, how about a little tour of what we have to offer:

Guest accommodations include spa bathrooms with double sinks, separate tub and shower and resort amenities. Below you’ll find a selection of some of our additional amenities as well as individual room-type descriptions:
 bathroom

Shuttle to and from the Airport & Fashion Show Mall
Marble Floors

RESORT ROOM

Resort rooms are designed with a rich color palate and furnishings that I’m sure many of us would like to have in our own home. The bed(s) feature a pillow top mattress and sheets that will certainly be a welcoming touch after a night out. The executive desk is spacious, equipped with convenient outlets and high-speed internet for all your gadgets, as well as a comfortable chair.

Each resort room offers a living space that includes features like a Bose Sound System, iPod Docking station* and 42” HD LCD flat screen television. The bathroom has a marble vanity with double sinks, vanity stool, in-laid mirror, television (that’s right, every bathroom has a TV in the mirror, cool!) and separate tub and shower.
*Available Upon Request.

MResortRoom1blogEXECUTIVE RESORT BEDROOM

Bed Type: One King or Double Queen
Size: 590 – 625 sq. ft.
View: Mountain View
The Executive Resort room gives you the additional space to move around and relax. It may be a better option than the Resort if you’re staying with us a bit longer. Again there’s a spacious desk, along with high-speed Internet access and a comfortable chair providing everything you’ll need for a well-equipped workspace. The pillow top mattress and fine linens ensure a restful night’s sleep.

CLASSIC ONE BEDROOM SUITE

Bed Type: One King
Size: 1,095 sq. ft.

If you’re looking for a bit of “Vegas wow” but don’t want to go over the top, the Classic One Bedroom Suite is just right. You’ll enjoy the separate powder room, executive office area and separate living space which is furnished with a comfortable sofa and chairs and features a 42” HD LCD flat screen television. A conversation bar and closet valet complete the suite experience.

FLAT SUITE

Bed Type: One King
Size: 1,440 sq. ft.

Breathtaking 270° Views of the Las Vegas Skyline
Now we’re getting to the really good stuff. These suites are situated on the east end of the hotel tower and therefore provide panoramic 270° views of the surrounding valley. The Flat Suite offers attention to detail that is evident from the etched glass sliding doors, to the mirrored closets and automated drapery. The living space, which includes a conversation bar, is perfect for entertaining. The Flat Suite provides one or two bedroom accommodations.

LOFT SUITEloft0248blog

Bed Type: One King
Size: 2,400 sq. ft.
View: Strip and Mountain View
This is it. We’re warning you – if you check-in to one of the Loft Suites, you may never want to check-out. Located on the west end of the hotel tower, these suites again enjoy beautiful 270° views of the Las Vegas skyline that may also be enjoyed from the bedroom loft. That’s right, two stories of your own private Vegas playground. The spacious accommodations include private entry and two separate living areas that feature exquisite architectural details such as a stone and glass staircase and etched sliding glass doors. It is equipped with multiple HD flat screen LCD televisions (which remotely rise up from the console table downstairs and descend from the ceiling above the bed) and wet bars. The bathroom includes a freestanding spa tub with a view and separate steam shower. Two or three bedroom accommodations may be provided in a Loft Suite.

iMagine Rewards – You can use points where?!

March 4th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

SlotsblogM Resort is home to more than 92,000 square feet of gaming action. Our expansive casino floor showcases the best gaming mix in town, featuring nearly 1,900 machines and the latest and greatest in gaming technology. From pennies to $100, M Resort players enjoy a wide range of denominations fit for the casual player or high-roller. Couple this fantastic casino floor with the iMagine Rewards Club and the result is an unparalleled edge over any other Las Vegas resort.

So what is it about iMagine Rewards that makes it so great? Let’s face it – pretty much every casino out there has some kind of rewards program and just about every program out there operates in a similar matter – players earn points through their slot and/or table play and can in turn redeem those earned points, usually for things like free slot play, dining and branded merchandise. Well that’s all true for M Resort and its iMagine Rewards program too, but there’s definitely a few things that make benefits for members truly unique. UpCasinoFloorblog

iMagine Rewards Club offers its members an up-front, simple point-redemption policy. Players enjoy the option to redeem their points for cash, comps AND free play among other things. Our iMagine Rewards Club is all about options and lots of them. The rewards program was developed to offer the best value to our club members by allowing them to redeem their points however they choose. Guests are free to select the rewards that best suit their individual lifestyle and the result is a flexible program with something for everyone.

What really makes iMagine Rewards unique, however, are the other places players can redeem their points. Did you know M Resort has an onsite, full-service pharmacy? Gas station and car wash? Want to get a facial or massage at Spa Mio? Is fine dining your thing? If you pay for your meal with points at Veloce Cibo, Terzetto and Marinelli’s, we’ll give you a 50% discount this month. There are tons of other benefits you’ll enjoy in and around the property too.pharmacy

So what’s the bottom line? If you come and enjoy yourself here at M Resort, you should get yourself an iMagine Rewards Card – it’s free and right now new members have a choice of an M logo t-shirt or $5 in free slot play. If you don’t come to M Resort, well, you have to get down here and check us out!

Do we look a day over 1 year?

March 3rd, 2010 by M Social Media Team

MResorts_01_LightshipGOFireworksYesterday marked exactly one year of operation for the M Resort. On March 1, 2009 we opened our doors to the cities of Henderson, Las Vegas and beyond. What a year it’s been!  We thought we’d share some photos of our journey and highlight some M memories from our first year.

We’ve truly enjoyed sharing our first year of operation with everyone who has visited us and we’ve had some really great events happen this last year!

Here’s a list of some of our favorite M memories from the past year of operation: spaghettieating

Signature Festivals. We turned our piazza into a community piazza. We introduced some fun festivals and community events including our Italian Festival. Who could forget watching the grape stomping and spaghetti eating contests?

Forbes Four Star Recognition. This year, we became the proud recipient of this prestigious award, a recognition rarely bestowed on first year properties.

TreeLighting3Nation’s Tallest Christmas Tree. Our 109 ft Christmas Tree proudly stood in our piazza and was a major attraction for the city. Our CEO Anthony Marnell III dedicated the tree to all the children in the Valley who would not have a tree.

Bravo’s Top Chef and Martha Stewart Living Radio. Hosting culinary heavy hitters Top Chef Season 6 and Martha Stewart Living Radio helped put the M on the map nationally and both brought attention to our passion for culinary arts.

Introducing Studio B Buffet. We love Studio B Buffet and when we opened on March 1 we introduced it to the world. It’s the first buffet to have a live action cooking studio built within the buffet. It has more than 200 items daily, includes a view and beer and wine!imagineline

Hitting Record Numbers for iMagine Reward Sign-Ups. More than 20,000 people  became iMagine Rewards members within our first TWO days of operation!

Opening Martini Time with Chef Tina Martini. Most recently, we introduced you to Chef Tina Martini. The show itself is a first for the city and a new form of entertainment – healthy entertainment.

MResorts_04_LightshipM Lightship. Although it wasn’t technically within the first year of operation, how could we leave the lightship off our favorite memories list?

Look for us to continue to focus on good service and good value and listening to you, our guests. We couldn’t have done it without our team members and without each and every one of our guests who have visited us since day one. Thank you for a wonderful first year.

You’ve read some of our favorite memories, now what’s your favorite M Resort memory from this past year?

Why not come to the M Resort for your meeting?

February 25th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

Guest Blogger: Drew Varga, Executive Director of SalesAug19DrewVargasmall

What is my job as Executive Director of Sales for the M Resort? Part of it is to ask meeting planners around the country the above question – why not come to the M Resort for your meeting

Through my discussions and travels to the numerous meetings tradeshows and conventions throughout the year I receive many answers from planners on why they don’t know, don’t want to, or can’t book their meeting at our resort (of course I also hear the – “I can’t wait to have my meeting at your resort!” from planners too –but that’s too easy to talk about).

When I’m out and about or talking to planners my job is to turn those don’t knows, don’t want tos, and can’ts into solid bookings for the resort. So what do I tell planners about the M Resort? It depends on their specific needs and what business objectives they want to accomplish, but generally, I tell them, at the M Resort we take a different approach to meetings. We don’t have millions of square feet of meeting space – we weren’t designed to be a massive exposition hotel – but the space we do have is boutique in nature, accommodating the most discriminating of meeting planners. It’s boutique because we want you to feel at home.

ballroomsetupblog

At a little more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space and 390 rooms, M caters to small and mid-sized meetings, conferences and group events, offering enough space to handle your group comfortably, but something small enough that you can manage things easily and keep it intimate.

A 2009 Smart Meetings Platinum Award Choice winner and a 2009 Forbes Four-Star Award winner, the M Resort staff truly caters to planners and attendees going above and beyond. Don’t want to go through the hassle of planning everything? We can help as little or as much as you need. If it’s turnkey you want, we’ll take care of it. MBoardroom1small

If you’ve been to or read about M, then you’ll know food and beverage is one of the things we pride ourselves on most. We recently had Season 6 of Bravo’s Top Chef take place at our resort! Food and beverage includes catering. Our catering department stands ready to tailor a menu toward your creative tastes or designs or – because we know food and beverage is just one thing on your checklist of things – we also have pre-arranged offerings designed to ease your mind – at least for a little while!

Plus, since all the venues at M are owned and operated by the property, it’s easy to book an entire restaurant or area all to yourself. Have you seen Villaggio Del Sole? If you’re looking for something spectacular, there’s nothing like poolside in Vegas at a fabulous resort. ExteriorPoolsideViewblog

Love the look and feel of Marinelli’s? It’s yours. Think Hostile Grape couldn’t be more perfect for your private party? Done. Have something even bigger in mind? How about the entire resort to yourself? That’s right, if you’ve got the inclination, we’ll make M your group’s personal playground.

I hope I get the opportunity to speak to you about why you should book your meeting at the M Resort. Until then, thanks for reading!

Veloce Cibo – More than a room with a view

February 24th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

VeloceDiningblog

M Resort does indeed have “a room with a view” and it’s called Veloce Cibo. Perched atop the tower, spanning the entire length of the 16th floor, Veloce’s view is not only spectacular, it’s unique. Take a look up and down the Las Vegas Strip and you’ll find property after property staring East or West across the famous boulevard at one of its neighboring competitors, the glare of their marquees proudly invading each other’s hotel rooms. Not here at M – here we’re nestled some 400 feet above the Strip; take an elevator to the significant heights of Veloce and you’re offered a commanding South to North view, those marquees now a twinkling delight for your dining experience.

Veloce_Chilled_Oysters_1blog
It’s not just the view that’s going to entice you however. Veloce combines an extensive menu of appetizers, entrees, sushi, sashimi and nigiri, as well as satisfying desserts, and pairs them with a range of hand-crafted cocktails and specialty drinks at Bar Veloce. Maybe the Chilled Oysters to start, then the Grilled Porterhouse with Tuscan Herbs, garlic and artichokes paired with the Yukon Gold Mash? Finish with something sweet, the Bobolini or Coconut Lollipops. Been to Hostile Grape? Tried the Enomatic wine dispensers? You’ll find more in Veloce and your wine card works here too.

But there’s even more to Veloce than the view and the great food. The space itself is something to take notice of. Veloce Cibo translates roughly to “velocity of food.” You’ll find dark woods accented with polished metals, reminiscent of those classic wooden motor boats from makers like Chris Craft, Lyman’s and Century – speed, beauty and class personified. The large terracotta louvers offer a taste of something traditional with a dash of something contemporary.

You won’t find one dining room here. Veloce offers a terrace and bar at one end, which flows into another room with a sushi bar, into another dining room with private booths and open tables, the next room with another bar and on. Your surroundings are such an integral part of the dining experience – Veloce offers choice and variety, though each environment is complimented with that view and yes please, that food.

Still not enough to get you up there? Okay – how about sushi or dim sum for two, just $10 Sun-Thurs? Believe us, this “room with a view” is definitely worth the trip.

Tell Us Your M Fantasy

February 18th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

CasinoFloor5blogIt was M Fantasy Night down at the Hostile Grape last night (wine deals, buy one, get one free specialty martinis and $5 all-you-can-eat appetizers in case you were wondering!) and it got us wondering what your M Fantasy might be. Post a comment on our blog telling us what your M Fantasy is (inappropriate content will be removed!) by Friday, February 26 at noon PST and the Social Media Team here at M will select the top three fantasies and post them on the M Resort Spa Casino Fan Page on Facebook where you can vote for your favorite. If you’re not yet a fan of our page, become a fan so you can vote! The person with the most votes by Friday, March 5 at noon PST will receive a $20 wine card to use at the Hostile Grape.*

loft_0279blogSo what is your M Fantasy? Perhaps it’s a high-roller night to remember, with limo service from the airport, warm handshakes and cold champagne on arrival, cocktails at M Bar, dinner at Veloce, a spectacular run on the casino floor and a night with someone special in a loft suite.

Are you the shooter at the craps table who throws that perfect pair of dice, everyone wins big and the crowd goes crazy? Maybe it’s putting everything on that one lucky number at the roulette table and watching that ball drop right where it’s supposed to. Flopping a royal flush? Hitting that mega-jackpot on a progressive?

Would you like to get up in front of a live audience in the Studio B kitchen like Chef Tini Martini, with the bright lights and cameras focused on you? Showing off your culinary prowess and sharing the fantastic recipes you’ve been sharing with family and friends for years?

Terzetto_Tomahawk__Ribeye_1blog

Maybe your M Fantasy is something as simple as dining on a perfectly prepared steak at Terzetto, paired with that cabernet from the Russian River Valley you’ve always wanted to try while sitting out on the terrace – a desert breeze on your face while watching the poolside frolickers.

Remember we’re in Vegas, a place where fantasies can become realities. Get creative and share your M fantasy with us.

Inside Out – Outside In

February 17th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

Inside out and outside in. Maybe you’ve noticed it and maybe you haven’t. There’s something about M Resort that’s different. And we’re not just talking about the great dining, gaming, entertainment, rooms, etc. We’re talking about the resort itself. Lobby

It’s a concept that comes through in the architecture and design, the materials and space. M Resort isn’t just another smoke-filled, low-ceilinged rectangle full of slot machines. It isn’t a maze designed to trap you with a fist full of twenties with nowhere to go and nothing to do but gamble.

Lobby Bar

The resort is full of natural light. Skylights and windows are always near at hand. Restaurants flow from interior dining rooms to outdoor dining spaces. Just look at walls – follow them from inside the structure as they flow seamlessly outside. The ceilings are high; the corridors spacious and the entrances/exits always close by. There are times of day when you can actually see through the building from the outside, the glass on either side unobstructed by any clutter inside.

The woods, the glass, the tiles and fabrics – they too promote a unity with what lies beyond the walls. There’s warmth here and something inviting – nothing in your face screaming “casino.” We think that’s why it works.

Exterior 2Whether you come to the M to dine, to see some live entertainment, to watch the game, relax at the spa or yes, hit the slots on the casino floor, there’s something about the way the whole place is put together that provides a comfortable way of doing it.

As we said, it may not be something you’ve noticed, but it’s probably something you’ve felt.

February 9th, 2010 by M Social Media Team

We’re fairly certain that come January 2, the grocery stores and mall shops had already sprouted a plethora of Valentine’s Day goo-gaws. Here at the M we’ve created specials for everyone – coupled or not. For the romantic twosomes, we have special Valentine’s Day menus in all our restaurants if you’re planning to celebrate with a dinner out. (Make reservations soon!)
